It's probably because I'm the "older generation" but most of the labels now put on partnerships boil down to what was called a boyfriend or girlfriend. The individual relationship was negotiated between those in it.

It b a friend that's a girl /boy yes! But bit wary of that term as thinking they might have more expectations I've had 2 fwb in past different times one was fine lived up to what I was expecting! The second was not he wanted full blown gf so had to end it ! I did ask why as he knew from start! He said he hoped I'd change my mind ! X
