It depends on how much use it's going to get. I find over time rechargeables gradually hold their charge less effectively.
I prefer them to mains powered but with my favourites after a few years of heavy use I do find that the time between charges suffers. |

My FWB and I have a mains powered wand which is very good but as you say very noisey especially on full power. We where looking for something much quieter and found a rechargeable one on amazon which was cheap so we didn't carry much hope on it, but to both our surprise it's very good powerful and quiet compared with its mains counterpart. Was well worth taking the gamble and for the money if it only lasted 6 months it will have paid for it's self. ![](/icons/thumb_up.png) |
