Confused!
If you have a problem and have asked them not to mail you and they block you (in order not to contact you): why are you checking their profile, and how is that rude?
Your idea of a simple question could be a pain in the arse to the recipient. For example I receive "how are you fancy a chat?" type messages from men in Edinburgh...my profile says local. What's the point?

Maybe they think saying don't message me back is rude. Who are made you the manners police? Or is messaging and blocking etiquette covered in Debrett's and I missed it somehow?
The block function is a site option for people to use as they wish. You use it however you like but, unfortunately for you, your way isn't the only way. |

Nobody has to agree with you. Nobody has to use their account the way you say.
So much butthurt over by being blocked by people you don't want to hear from anyway! How about using that energy to find people you do want to talk to? |

wow, honestly i made a comment and got attacked over it, lol. these ppl were rude to me first i was saying dont mail me back as i didnt want anymore grief and then got more and they then blocked me when i couldnt defend myself. sorry if im a bad person. lol |

I disagreed with your viewpoint and pointed out that you are not in charge of how anyone else uses the site.
Apparently disagreeing with you constitutes a "personal attack".
If someone said "you are so (insert insulting word here)", that's a personal insult. Telling you that you don't get to dictate how others behave isn't.
Unless I've missed it, I see no personal insult here. Please point it out.
Really though expecting everyone to agree with you on a forum is much the same as expecting people to not message you when you tell them to, and not to block you because you don't think they should!
Did you really expect everyone to be aghast and tell you how dreadful those nasty people who blocked you are? |

Whoa, way oversensitive!
Had it been said "you are petulant and entitled" that would be a personal insult.
Saying petulant people who are entitled use the word rude on the forum a lot in no way means that everyone who uses the word rude is petulant and entitled. You weren't mentioned at all! A personal insult needs to be actually directed at you for it to be personal.
Try the analogy 'the sky is blue, but not everything blue is the sky'.
Tbh I think you are being a bit too sensitive here and too sensitive about who blocks you. You have the option to block too, and it's your choice whether to use it or not. Either way, forget the people who don't want to talk to you and concentrate on those who do. |

You should probably be grateful that someone is replying to you because I bet you'd think it was rude if people had totally ignored you.
Perhaps you should have written in your first post that you only want comments from people who agree with you.
Incidentally, if you've had a "bad experience" and someone was abusive to you in a message, you should report it to admin using the report link. That way it can be looked at and dealt with appropriately. Posting on the forum about it is not the way to get it dealt with. |

Lol. It was me who got bad mail, then I asked not to mail me and then they did with a horrible mail but at this point I couldn't defend myself at all as they blocked me, I never said or done anything wrong, lol. Guess I'm just a bad man for trying to defend against comments in a mail that weren't true. Thankyou all.

If someone sends you bad mail you are perpetuating it by replying.
Report any offensive mail and block them so they can't send more.
Can I suggest you read the hints and tips? It tells you that not replying is not rude. And blocking is not rude it is simply a site tool.
However posting in an open forum then asking people not to post again since you don't like their reply is foolhardy and petulant. Take a look at some other threads, irony and sarcasm are alive and well. As is common sense.
You got genuine answers to your question, you simply didn't get the answers you wanted.
I also suggest you read the forum rules, as you have actually crossed some lines and possibly broken some.
Oh and you're not supposed to use the forum to ask people why they've blocked you...
But I can tell you that many forumites will see the tone and tenor of someone's posts and decide that they don't want to receive and contact from that person in the future.
Good luck on the site and I hope you manage to take it a little less personally. |

I've never mailed anyone saying they are not nice, that was just a comment on here as a joke . The ppl I originally posted about aren't on this forum. I mailed these ppl to say not to mail as they were sending me mail accusing me of things nastily, then they sent an accusation I could not respond and defend myself against as they blocked me. Again can I just say they are not on this forum and I would not name that as its against rules. I made a comment and have had a hate team on me on here since. Thankyou for that |

I am afraid that the OP has been treated poorly in this forum. That said I was banned for 24 hours because I dared to disagree with a FAB Forum junkie. It seems that if a person has a point they should not be subject to this kind of treatment. Your original post was a complaint about why do people you (already) have a problem with reply to your 'don't mail me again' message with something unpleasant and then block you so you can't reply.
And that you are not so rude as to block them.
1) Blocking is not rude it's a site tool. Its a handy way to ensure people you have a problem with don't mail you or appear in any searches.
2) If you receive rude, offensive or bullying messages don't engage in a debate and escalate the issue, report to admin and step away with your dignity.
3) You didn't want further messages with this person/people so why would being blocked annoy you other than you not being able to have the last word? Have you got a fixation with having the last word? Are you convinced that noone else's word is good enough to be the last one? |

Thankyou, can I just say without giving anything away, the email I couldn't answer and was blocked from could potentially affect my life as they are local to me, that's why I needed to reply and sort . They seem to know me and I don't know them, which really worries me. |

I said not to email when they were being offensive, then I got a mail naming me in real life and then the block, that's why I needed to reply as I wanted to defend myself, when someone seems to know you it's not sensible to report them as this could cause problems in real life and affect it a lot. You have no grounds to report them though, just because you suspect the know you in real life, does not mean you can report them.
I'd try not to worry about it.

to the op...you really do have to have a thick skin and take the good with the bad regarding chats,blocks,meets,forum comments etc. You are absolutely entitled to your opinion, as is everybody else on the forums; some will agree or disagree, but in my opinion, if you take disagreeable comments personally, you're on a hiding to nothing. I like to think of it as constructive criticism - use it and learn from it - after all, its meant to be fun! |

They contacted me and when I mailed politely showing no interest they got nasty and then like I have sent accusations and left me blocked and not able to sort it. It's worrying when you need to defend yourself to protect your outside life, again sorry all if I never explained myself. Reporting will not fix this but I feel will make it worse, I think I may just leave site. |

If you still have the message in your inbox, where they have named you, report it to admin, that you are concerned. I'm assuming you are concerned that they will say something to your wife. |

Can I just say to Julie, it's not just wife, it's my family, we all like to keep swinging behind closed ish doors, lol. I like to think my sex life is my sex life and not to upset my family members with. Thx |

You do realise that if you had explained that instead of just having a rant about being blocked and rude messages that you would have received far more constructive advice?
I would use a message they sent you to block them in return. That way they cannot monitor your profile and check your friends list or status or verifications to keep track of you.
It may be a concern that they seem to know you, but you have to weigh up how comfortable you are with that and if you feel you have anything to hide/lose. If you do then you may want to consider shutting down your profile and reopening a new one using different pics. If you do that your first action should be to block these people so they can't see your new profile. |

No problem and don't feel like you have to justify yourself to anyone on here.
But I really hate to say it, leaving the site will not stop the person from telling anyone.
Really as I said try not to worry about it, they are also on the site so could risk you exposing them.

In all honestly, your profile states you are married, so assuming you are playing without the wifes consent (maybe wrong on this).
But playing behind her back will always be a risk, and that risk could break up family life.
Closing your profile wont make it any less a risk, if you continue to use this or any other sites to play without wife knowing.
Basically, guess I'm trying to say, its a risk you married men take.
Although the people that messaged you should not send abusive messages or name you, can only blame yourself if your wife and family find out, no one forces you to play behind partners back.
No doubt I will get shouted at for posting this, just my opinion, everyone has there own opinions, be it right or wrong |

Good advice........I would still report to admin too. I think these last few replies to the op, are the ones he was hoping for. I can only imagine how worrying it would be if somebody played the 'I know who you are' mind game, especially if they're a married 'single'

If they have sent offensive messages you should report and leave it to admin. If they are prepared to send them to you they will be prepared to send them to others.
If you are not sure if they are bad enough then say that. You can also mention that they know your real world identity and have used it to bully/blackmail/intimidate you.
Bad apples will only turn the whole barrel rotten if we let them. Whether or not any on the forum agree or disagree with married people being here as singles without their oh knowledge the attempt to use real world details to intimidate, manipulate and bully people on the site is far more of a concern. I'd they were truly worried about the state of you marriage there are other, more sympathetic and constructive methods. |
