Here’s a topic that goes through my mind, when it’s not all clogged up with big boobs and arses - Which of these cities packs the most musical clout? Here’s just a few examples:
London:
- Sex Pistols
- The Kinks
- Rolling Stones
- The Who
- The Clash
- Blur
Manchester:
- The Smiths
- Joy Division
- Stone Roses
- The Fall
- The Buzzcocks
- Oasis

Not a huge fan of most on that list, but both are great musical cities.
I’d say Manchester punches above it’s weight in terms musical influence related to size/population, so I think I’d say them. |

Big time, a few character's are needed. I want people in bands I like, shagging, taking drug's, punching paparazzi in the face, being arrested, banned from airlines and hotels. I don't want Chris Martin and his yoga and tofu. Fuck Chris Martin and his fuckin tofu. And his ex wife with her fanny candles. |

So it’s looking like in a competition of musical strength between two cities, the big winners are individual American singers
