Time to break out the ol reliable analytical mind;

Let's break it down;

1. Is it set in Christmas? Yes.

2. Does it have a Christmas theme? Yes.

3. Is it make believe like the virgin birth? Also yes.

4. Does Nakatomi plaza actually exist? Yes it does.

5. Is the words "Ho Ho Ho" mentioned? Yep.

6. Does a miracle occur? Yep

7. When Hans Kruger falls off the tower, does it signify the arrival of peace? Hell yes.

Based on those 7 points, I surmise it IS a Christmas film.

As for my favourite; Muppets Christmas Carol.

If it’s not a Christmas movie what does classify as a Christmas movie

It’s good enough for the stuff in the regular Christmas line up not to clash in quality. Personally, I love watching a Christmas Carol. It’s a timeless classic and helps keep the spirit of Christmas alive in a world filled with more and more greed.
