That’s a good idea, although I don’t think that she’s into nail varnish and lip gloss yet. She’s a young 11 if that makes sense. Maybe that’s why she is hard to buy for? |

If you have a good local bookstore, and she likes reading, going in and saying "I'm looking for a book for X age who enjoys Y genre" can produce almost miraculous results. My dad did this and always came back with some incredible books. "Dad's book bag" was my favourite part of Christmas. |

If you have a good local bookstore, and she likes reading, going in and saying "I'm looking for a book for X age who enjoys Y genre" can produce almost miraculous results. My dad did this and always came back with some incredible books. "Dad's book bag" was my favourite part of Christmas."
I've done similar for my daughter years ago but she's read so much now that I'd probably get something she's already read  |
