Because in my eyes a wink is like a cheeky acknowledgment as to thinking someone is tasty and if they wink you back then a message is to be followed.
What are your thoughts? |

I prefer winks, if there's a mutual winking then let's chat. It's a sign of interest and not more lazy than copying & pasting the same message to 1000 women. |

Its a bit hit and miss for me, it can be a good way to show interest in one another but it can also be an easy option for making little effort.
Usually if im exchanging winks i always find im the one to message first, or if i dont, i dont receive one from the winker. Which immediately tells me i wouldnt have as good a time as i would with others.
Usually if i feel like i have to do all the work, making first contact, carrying the conversations along etc. Then its going to be like that when it comes to meeting and having sex. Just cos i got the penis between my legs doesnt mean im going to do all the work and make all the effort, id like a little give back in return too. So winks can be quite useful for me |

I never look at my winks, I do however send the end odd one if I would like someone to message me! Helps to not feel rejected if you sent a message that gets ignored haha! |

This is how we take it too, as an invitation to have a look at their profile. |

What's the point in completely dismissing a wink? It could potentially lead to something fruitful and if it doesn't sure fuck it, what harm had it done? You wasted a few minutes talking shite with a bellend. Big deal |

I get loads, I would waste a whole day to check them all out, then repeat haha

I agree with this. Also I can wink to remove the "all single males block" and if they are still interested we can message. |

That's a fair point. |

It's definitely a testing the water scenario, if someone winks us and we wink back it's like an invitation to message us but sometimes we do message and thank them for a wink too x so 50/50 really x |

I use the wink function mostly to throw a hapless wink at someone who might otherwise be oppressed by yards of messages. On occasion might send one as a prod after a message has been read and put aside a minute or so....as if to say .... hey go on , give it a shot, answer my mail.

They’re brilliant and a great asset to the site. I much prefer them to some generic messages that’s asking me how I am or am I meeting etc…
Easily ignored if you’re not interested, or a great way to start a conversation with someone you are interested in.
If you’re inundated with messages I can understand why you won’t bother looking at them. But if you’re like me and you get a few every day (messages and winks) it’s just another way of meeting someone. |
