London is now officially the most gridlocked city in the world with more time spent in traffic jams than any other city. The cause... The increase in cycle lanes ...
Is it time for motorists to reclaim the streets... ?

No one knows the REAL cause Tom.
People have cited the cycle lanes but that doesn't make it FACT.
It's probably people driving vehicles through London that congests London. ....... |

I have many friends living in London it is the cycle lanes and bus lanes. It’s a total joke. There is only one man in charge of London

Motorists HAVE reclaimed the London streets and also gridlocked them.
Why anyone would own a car if they live within zone 3 is beyond me. Quicker to walk half the time.

"Er.....surely the gridlock is caused by vehicles rather than bikes?
The cycle lanes are taking up more and more of the roads, how about cyclist pay road tax and insurance?"
Ah. but road tax isnt road tax(think Churchill got rid of it in the twenties) and doesnt go to roads.
Also, its something to do with emissions, so cyclists don't really contribute there.
Also, vehicled ause massive drainage of local council funding for resurfacing, etc. Plis they bugger up everyone's lungs and have links to diseases like dementia, plus RTAs, all kf which cost ridiculous large amounts for the underfunded NHS.
I'd be up for a specific road tax ring fenced for redistribution to road maintenance and the NHS though.
