MOTTO: We run #LikeAToddlerChasingAPug

.

.

.

EXPLANATION AND ETHOS:

EVERYONE is welcome in the Fab Crap Runners' Club (the crapper the better).

From 1st January 2018, a bunch of Fabbers began improving their fitness through running. None of them were natural athletes but they did it anyway.

.

.

.

FOR COMPLETE BEGINNERS:

"Couch to 5k" (C25K) is a nine-week running programme for absolute beginners, available on various free phone apps (Mrs T used Get Running). But you can join this thread to get fit by any means including walking and cycling - all are welcome. If you're expecting to be utterly crap at it (I mean reeeeeeeeeally bad), you're in the right place. Join the thread, tell us what your aim is and we'll cheer you on each week, just for trying.

.

.

.

FOR MORE EXPERIENCED RUNNERS:

Tell us what you’re up to with your running, your training and your races. Let’s us know your highs and lows. Please cheer on the newbies and give advice if they ask.

.

.

Finally- if you’re working towards a specific goal, share it here

Visting Belfast

Tuesday and still not had my Running Shoes on this week. Dark wet mornings make it very difficult to find the motivation to go out.

Especially when there is warmer wetter offerings available

May just sack work off and take an extended lunch and run then.

Finally got out this week. First run after an unpleasant tummy bug. Still pretty weak but still a fighter. More of run/walk/run but it didn't turn out too bad actually. And I didnt give up. I really wanted to!

Feeling any better ? It's hard to get out when you are not 100% well.

It seems a lazy running week for most of us. Or maybe we are so busy running around in a run up to Christmas that we don't have time time to post about running

I'm having a bit of time out whilst I've got Christmas stuff to sort out. But, I'll go to running club tonight and do parkrun at the weekend.

I think if you’re not 100% it’s always best to wait, the last thing that you want is to exacerbate your illness!

It’s not resting, it’s letting your body recover.

At least that’s what I tell myself…

I have given myself a much needed and well earned 2 week break from running. I am looking forward to getting back out there and am considering entering a virtual event throughout January, but am yet to commit.

Norwich this week, usually Dundee and around

Day 8 (the other day) of the Marcothon and I fell by the wayside!

Pissed off a fair bit, but it just fell in the "too hard to fit in" bucket with everything else going on right now!

Next year I guess!

I failed on day 1! Planned to give it a go, had to take a family member to A&E instead. I've decided to have a slow month of recovery and enjoying Christmas.

I’ve just had my Covid booster so I will see how I feel in the morning but all going well I’ll pop on my heels and lippy and hit the Parkrun tomorrow. Hoping to go sub-34 minutes and get a PB!

A few weeks ago after Pfizer booster I was really tired that evening...I was fine for parkrun the next day, just a sore-ish arm.

I met a parkrun running buddy / potential fwb while out shopping...looking to up the ante tomorrow!

Did people manage to get their park runs done today?

Who’s out this weekend for runs?

C25K folks, how are you getting on?
