Thinking of taking a fab hiatus. Not gonna delete coz I’d loose all the fabs friends etc etc.
But I’m honestly not sure I’m getting what I want from this anymore.
Persuade me to stay? Or otherwise tbh.

I think the guys on here are getting worse. Ive lost count the amount of tool bags i block now on a daily basis. Still some nice ones about just takes a while to find them sadly |

Fab is always going to be here. The cycles and trends will continue.
Take that break. It will easily give you a couple of hours of your day back if you’re active on the site generally.
Come back when you think it might be a good idea again.

This is so true I’m spending far too much time on here and not giving real life enough. It’s a little vacuum. I’ll come back. I always do. But I just feel like this time I really need a break. |

No. If you’re feeling shitty and not getting what you need here this can, from personal experience, be one of the worst places to be.
I hope you are in a better place soon and do return at some time, but until that time I wish you a speedy recovery. x |

I don’t think anyone can persuade you one way or the other. Only you’ll know how you’re feeling. We don’t really know what you’re experiencing from others here. Given what little knowledge I have, I’m aware that most long term members almost inevitably come back.
Go and enjoy Christmas, if that’s your thing. Hide from here, and maybe just unplug for a couple of weeks. Or maybe just layer the filters right up to avoid having any messages of any sort. |

I know you said you’re headed for gastric surgery. My other half has had that this year and more than happy to put you in touch with her.
She’s lost 10 stone (63 kg) since June.

If you are not feeling it at the moment give yourself a nice wee break and focus on you and what you enjoy outside of fab. Always other ways to keep in touch with the good people you have met. What ever you decide do what's best for you and I hope it helps and you feel better soon. Take care |

I think taking a break can help if you feel like you need it, just hide your account dip in and out of the forum or have a complete switch off and come back fresh in the new year but don’t delete…

I take regular breaks at it gets so monotonous at times. Same people on the forums commenting to each other almost daily so even they have lost their appeal. I don't use the site half as much as I did now.
Maybe one day it will go back to how it was! |

If you're spending time on here to the detriment of real life, then maybe deleting your profile is the best option.

Thank you people I can honestly say your words have touched me. No not in that way you creeps.
I also realised I haven’t been taking my meds for a while as I’ve been so poorly so no wonder my mental health has dipped. Anyway still taking a break but I’ll be back.

As they say 'it's the most wonderful time of the year'... But it's also the most stressful. Plans, work, pressure, family or loneliness.
This place can do wonders for your self-esteem and can also floor it. If it doesn't feel like an escape anymore then do what's right for you!
I like to take breaks and it does help a lot!

I have been using this site since March 2020. I have had three coffee meets in that time and it progressed no further. I have been given positive verifications. I have come to the conclusion that this site promises much but delivers little. I also believe that there are a lot of fake profiles based upon the many messages that never even got read, let alone replied on to! My messages are always polite and I never respond nastily if I get a response saying no thank you/turned down. I do not pester people. It's just a sea of yellow on my screen. With this in mind, my new year's resolution will be to delete and leave this site on the 31st of December. |
