We are staying in the lakes on 17/18th of this month and are looking for recommendations for good pubs around Bowness/ Ambleside area.
Looking for good food and drink with scope to have a little fun teasing etc as we may meet for social with someone before heading back to hotel.

There are so many, depends on your preference, old country laid back or a bit more modern. There is a great 3 story place called Amigos that's pretty modern, great lighting and usually chilled background music with the odd a oustic act. Food wise you will be spoilt but if Indian is your thing then right by the cinema car park in bowness is a top notch Indian. You will find almost any type of food you desire up there. Enjoy your stay, oh don't forget your mac and wellies  |

Best pub in the Lakes imho Is Wainwrights Inn in Chapel Stile. The Three Shires Inn in Little Langdale used to serve awesome hearty food. But then some hipsters from London took it over and fucking ruined it  |
