Today I ate a whole m&s French baguette. All 26 inches of it. Straight from the packet, no butter, I just tore off a chunk at a time.
I know I should probably feel quite guilty and be in some sort of carb induced hangover but I don't and I'm not.
I'm also now wishing I'd bought chocolate too.
I still feel miserable!
What was the last thing you ate to feel better?
And did it work? |

"I'm just about to tuck into some really cheesy potato skins, so much cheese in them it's sinful.... I'll regret it later but I intend to enjoy every mouthful"
Mmmm cheese is one of my downfalls! Enjoy! |

I'm not sure if I'm comfort eating or subconsciously self harming.
I know it's unhealthy food, I know it's just making me fatter and making me sadder.
None of it makes me feel better so I can only deduce I'm doing it as an act of laziness and self harm.
Urgh. |

I know all about comfort food, like I never drink when I'm depressed I always eat. So don't feel bad to have something nice to eat when you're down. As for me, a nice meal with a delicious dessert does the trick for me. Savoury with sweet is a perfect combination xx |

It's a tough cycle. One I'm very guilty of too. I think at times it may well be a form of self harm but mostly I think it's about seeking some sort of instant gratification |

Half a tub of Cadburys Heroes last night. Are the other half the night before. I'm lactose intolerant and took a lactase enzyme pill, but was lucky not to get any side effects from it except a fuzzy head.
I often comfort eat and wish I hadn't. |

I don't really comfort eat, I'm always fully aware of the crap I'm eating
For me, I have BBQ Pringles, drumstick squashies, Dairy Milk Whole Nut and a pack of 5 co-op double chocolate cookies with me. I don't plan on eating it all, but we'll see where we end up |

Not a fan of a scotch pie unless I'm really craving one but it needs chunky chips and beans on top. A proper council dinner! |

Sometimes it's just needed. Chocolate is very hard to resist. |

I feel for you.
Isn't it annoying? You feel sad so you comfort food, you get fatter and that makes you feel sadder so you comfort eat again. Now I'm fat, sad and ashamed that I can't get out of this circle.

I haven't had junk or even carbs for a month
The past two nights have been horrifically hard and I've almost broken a couple of times but I know if I just make it through to the morning I wake up ready to eat healthy for another day. I've got a day of indulgence penned into my diary in 2 weeks' time and I cannot fucking wait |

It's a horrible loop. I've tried really hard to stop it many times, and always end up back in it . I'm often on the run too so end up grabbing things for quickness which are usually bad too. Then I feel bad for that and will spend the next days proud of myself for skipping food.

I always notice when I'm feeling down by eating too much. Crisps are my kryptonite, sometimes I can go through 5 or 6 bags and not bat an eyelid. Eat, feel bad about yourself, eat more, repeat.. I need to learn how to break that cycle. |

That's what I said all those years I was obese with suboptimal health and carb addiction.
Keto and now carnivore has set me free. |

It's surprisingly easy to cut your carb intake though. Replace rice, potatoes etc with leafy greens, broccoli, cauliflower rice etc. cakes and biscuits with nuts, eat 85% cocoa chocolate instead of sweets. You don't need to be fully keto to experience the benefits |

Absolutely true.
I'm hard-core because one new potato leads to a carb blowout and addiction behaviour so I don't do carbs at all.
Just getting rid of seed and vegetable oils and sugar will result in a massive reduction in weight and poor health. |

You gave me some great advice when a consultant advised me to cut my carb intake. It's habit with me now and I've found a level that suits me. |

I will be eternally grateful to her for taking the trouble to finally get my levothyroxine dose right but my she was odd and actually frightened me and I don't scare easily. She also insisted that I needed statins...which I don't take |

Only people with familial hypolipidemia need statins.

Pizza, lasagne, Spag ball, anything with mince and cheese and I'm eating til it's all gone.
Also impossible to eat just one packet of Monster Munch. They're bastard crisps. |
