I don't go myself or necessarily know any but I'm sure all the little countryside laybys are frequented! Especially by the lakes/waters.
There's a large layby on the A66 W of Keswick looking over Bassenthwaite though. Or you can drive down to the lakeside if you follow signs to the train cafe just further up the road. |

It’s my fave part of the country and I go at least twice a year in normal times.
Was there just a couple of weeks ago but didn’t see any dogging. Saw lots of sheep though. And pensioners in waterproofs and walking boots |
