Bikes. I currently have 9, and love them all. They’re great value for money, I ride thousands of miles a year on them, and it’s great for my mental and physical health. Most people think it’s crazy, and some (by no means all) are worth more than the car I drive (which, tbh is where I economise…) but I know their value as well as their price |

Loads of stuff. Clothes make me happy, having comfortable, warm, clean surroundings, a trip to the hairdresser, coffee in a nice cafe, I could go on.
I've had no money literally and enough money a I am definitely happier with enough.

Paying off the mortgage. It cost money that we worked damn hard for. But not having it means we can afford for my husband not to work at the moment and for me to work part time. We are time rich and enjoying life
Which also gives me more time to bake cakes |

Not worrying about you or your family or your friends immediate needs, health and wants = happiness to me
Money can’t buy you happiness, but it goes a long way
If you’ve got a shit load and your still not happy, that points to some very serious issues |

I spent 40£ on a posh comic book recently. guess that's a lot of money for a comic book but it's a great pleasure for me.
part of the pleasure is knowing that i can afford 40£ on a comic book when there's been times in my life i didn't have a proverbial pot to piss in x |

Last February I was feeling really crap because of the post-xmas lockdown so I bought a pile of timber and plywood. Over the following two weekends I turned into an 11ft x 4ft model railway baseboard and can now sit and run my trains. My mood lifted almost overnight and it definitely made me happy. |

In my happy place |
In this weather, the heated seats and wheel in the winterpck for my car, which I own.
And 40% of my house is mine (mortgage).
I can buy what I need. Lockdowns made me see that I dont need so much 'stuff'. |

So I can't conceive children naturally due to leukemia as a child basically my sperm won't swim in the right direction or swim at all, I produce sperm but there is literally 0% chance conception naturally.
So for me I used private healthcare to have a kid, that is the best money I've ever spent and it truly is money has bought me happiness, ideally yes would still be with the ex but that's a long story.
Generally though money won't buy you happiness by itself, what it does is give you options, the options make you happy sadly those options often cost and we mistake that money=happiness.
Sorry if a bit too deep! |

I guess all I’m spending to be happy with myself and feel at one with myself
Also when my dad got my grand piano after years of studying, that made me happy at the time |

"My dog.. no amount of money can compare to how much love and happiness they bring to your lives."
Agreed. I have a chocolate Labrador who’s nearly 2. He cost me £650 plus the coffee tables he’s eaten, shoes he’s chewed, skirting boards and wallpaper he’s gnawed on etc etc.
I love him so much it’d be difficult to choose between him and the kids though! |
