Thought it was, I dunno, maybe daring, to include the storyline of giving the addict enough cash to overdose - found that very uncomfortable for a ‘comedy’. And the psychiatrist is getting on my tits for being over the top. I do like it though. |

I haven't been able to watch the second series but the first one was brilliant, very thought provoking. I thought all the characters were good, they showed human failings and it made me like them more. |

Great show from start to finish, a real look into people's grief which is refreshing. Perfect mix of dark and humour. My favourite comedy moment is his response to a kid calling him a peado My favourtie scene is the lessons the old lady teaches him on the bench.
I love everything Ricky Gervais does! |

I sobbed and laughed in equal measure throughout both series, you can only watch it if you're in a good place mentally I recon though, its heart wrenching. |

In my humble opinion, it’s his finest work to date.
As another poster said, favourite scene is with the ginger kid who calls him a pedo. The counsellor character played by Paul Kaye is the weakest link… the behaviour of the counsellor and what they actually do in sessions is totally erroneous.
If you’ve not watched it, do it! |

Agree the outtakes are hilarious - the pub scene with all the names is a good one.
I adore this show. Being widowed I can say he absolutely got it spot on. I’d be crying one minute and laughing the next. Lots of heartwarming parts in there too. Looking forward to series 3 |

Ok, just finished watching the first two series, and I must admit I thought it was good. I can't usually watch Ricky Gervais, but this was good. Sad, funny, very poignant in places. I think many will identify with at least some of the situations which is probably why it's so good. |
