What draws your attention in a profile?

I know a lot of people think profiles are important as they're a looking glass into their personality but what exactly draws you in people's profiles to then think I'm going message them, or I'll send them a wink? |

Visual attraction is important so sexy pictures are a must. But also a well written profile which shows you have somethings in common ...sense of humour, open mindedness, love of nandos (kidding...or am I? |

For me how their body looks, slim bodies will definitely get my attention but what make me msg them is what they're looking for, for instance if I see a profile I'm attracted and she says she's into black guys she's more likely to get a message from me rather than a profile who doesn't state what they're looking for.
So yes physical attraction is key for me, however if I know what you're looking for and I think I fit the bill, then that makes your profile stand out. |

Matches what I’m looking for on the site.
I am looking for a particular type of meet, so if someone’s profile also stated they’re looking for the same type of thing, then I’m more likely to message or show some interest in them.
My hotlist only has a few people on it, but they’re on there because of their profile text, not their looks.  |

Bare is a word in the Dictionary but it's another word that's been changed into a chavvy reference as well. |

: Bare to me is either naked or the revealing if something like baring your soul so many people say bare with me instead of bear with me although on here it might mean lets get naked together -D  |

Step 1
Is avatar a cock or a silhouette? Yes? Do not proceed. Weeds out 75%.
Step 2
Is headline / username / status sordid? Yes? Do not proceed. Weeds out another 10%.
Step 3
Do I find pics & profile attractive? Do I want to know more about this person? Yes?
Add to hotlist, perv and never message.

The first thing that usually attracts me is the pictures. I'm very visual.
I like a profile that's an interesting read and whilst I think it's important to set out what you're looking for, a profile can be off putting if it comes across as a ranting legal contract.
Another statement that often detracts from a good Profile is "I will not meet [insert stuff here]. Just my preference." It often comes across to me as prejudicial.
I'm not keen on overly short Profiles and I'm not keen on overly long profiles. I guess there's a "Goldilocks" length that sits best with me, but I can't put a figure on that. Punctuation makes it easier to read, too!
Another minus point is any legalese at the bottom about Facebook, Sydney Uni or legal rights. It's not a deal breaker for me, but it certainly detracts.
I'm sometimes drawn to a Profile from an interaction or something I've read in a Forum Post.

Erotic/visually pleasing photos.
Good angles, leaving enough to the imagination.
No whining in status/bio.
A good but simple bio. Something about them, something about what they're looking for.

For local people - location, nice pictures, the ability to meet at times we're available, similar interests, decent and recent verifications.
For forumites - those whose posts, pictures or profile make me laugh or entertain me. I don't necessarily want to take them to bed (some I definitely do), but I do enjoy a good chat |

A well thought-out and grammatically correct profile, with humour, down-to-earth and light-hearted narrative, devoid of any pointless abbreviations such as "like-minded ppl" (people?) and pre-pubescent text speak (e.g. LOLZ).
A profile that includes - where applicable - punctuation and apostrophes.
The profile can be vague or esoteric in order to maintain the intrigue, as long as it's not ambiguous. |

Wit. Playful wit, hinting at mischief, lack of taking things too seriously and intelligence.
Not too staged photos.
From the forums, probably someone who uses fora. The kind of person who has a sense of humour that's similar to mine, prone to waffling and a bit of a wanky sort. |
