Company pays. Free bar included.

It's always on my birthday so it's always a nice free night out for me

I'm not going this year though. I'm going to enjoy a hangover free Christmas.

Being self implode and being the only employee

I think I would have to pay for it my self and wouldn’t be much off a party

Mind you my kind off party and others kind off party are two different things

We pay for our own, it always costs me a small fortune as I like to buy drinks for the team and wine on the tables as a thank you.

In my last job everything was covered, including a hotel room for the night.

In my current job we pay for our own. The company gives us a Christmas dinner in the canteen but that's it.

We get £20 towards ours in obe of my jobs. The other is NHS so we pay ourselves. My partner's work paid for all of them plus partners which I thought was incredibly generous.

I've only once worked for a company where everything was covered. Although this year wine for the tables have been covered.

Bosses pay for mine. We have several work do's throughout the year, takeaway nights etc. Food and drink is always paid for. They are outstanding bosses though.

Get flown to south coast and put up in hotel with free bar.

Only staff this year for first time so some raging alcoholic spouses won’t be there which is good. It could be quite boring but I may look for local company.

Have had both extremes - having to pay myself and having the company pay for everything (it was quite a high 4 figure some per head) included casino, free bar, funfair gala dinner and a disco. Currently self employed so don’t bother with a xmas ‘do’ just have drinks with close colleagues/clients. But not. This year or last.

If they were an MP there would have also been a stripper bar set up at no.10 during the height of covid

This year we are just doing meals so we all pay. Previous years we have done heavily subsidised parties where we contributed a small amount and the directors all contributed between £200-500

My company used to pay for big conferences (piss ups) with hotel and drinks.

Now we pretty much have to take our own loo roll in to work.

As we are a charity we often get donations towards it and pay some ourselves.
