Concerning fab and social media.

We have our real lives, and our real friends. But social media has been a thing for a long time. Are you lucky with the people you have connected with online where you can meet your new online friends regularly or are you cursed that you live too many miles away to contemplate meeting up more than just the once with them?

.

This might sound a bit wanky but some of my Fab friends are real life friends, much in the same way my fiancé is my real life one, not my Fab fiancé.

That bit of early morning twuntery aside, some of my fab friends live a fair distance, others less so. I've made friends with people all over and sometimes it's a bit of a shame can't see them more often but if I really want to see someone, I'll find a way to (obviously as long as they wanted to see me too!).

Wirral

I specifically look for people within my area because I'm not looking for one-offs.

Thankfully it's a populous area and there are a lot of people who live within an hour's travel!

That should have a search function by TIME.

All our friends are over 2 hours away so we don't often get chance to see them

Having a get together with all the army lads after the new year which we're looking forward to

I consider myself to be quite lucky that I’m centrally located. Liverpool, Birmingham, Manchester, Nottingham are all just around an hour from where I am. It makes meeting my any of my online friends (not just fab friends), enjoyable in that I can get away from Stoke for the day. I also enjoy road trips so meeting friends who are further afield, albeit less frequently. Finding enough free time to make the journeys can be problematic.

I live in the arse end of nowhere, so it's a hard; I'm willing to travel anywhere, but distance can be a problem for a lot of people, which is a shame.

Living in North London no I'm not happy. The people in this area are rude, ignorant and not in the slightest but friendly. As for Fab I would say that most ladies in this area are either promoting something or somewhere to make money or making money for themselves (I apologise to the genuine ones). It is nothing like this back at where I call home in the midlands / east anglia

There’s a few in Manchester that are business focused.

There's also a lot of fake profiles. Women who have joined 3 days ago last online 2 days and 23 hours ago never to be seen again! Not just one or two but loads ! Possibly put on by the owners to keep all the men interested??

Wolverhampton

My husband has long played online computer games and has made friends all over Europe. Living near to Birmingham airport and having plenty of trains means we can meet up occasionally.

Fab-wise it seems we're lucky as there's loads of sex mad deviants in the West Midlands Plus it's pretty easy to get here if people want to visit

I've made friends all over from here and feel quite lucky to have done so.

I was in a clan and I traveled for LAN parties as that’s what we had to do. Loved it and had such laughs. (I’ve tried to clean up on Fab but nobody is having it? )

A clan for which game?

We don't mind meeting up with people from our area, we don't even care if people know we are on here, we don't particularly like the town we live in but it is what it is for the moment.

I love where I live and I’m really lucky to have many people I really like within a close proximity so that they are much more actual friend than ‘fab friends’. These folk mean way more than any sex ever does and they are the reason I stay

I do wish some of the friends I've made from here lived a bit closer but we make it work and see eachother as much as we can. My friends that I made away from Fab are scattered all over the country and as much as it can be hard work getting together, we don't let it impact our friendship.
