Circle your arms a couple of times, do jazz hands a few times, put your hand into hot water for at least two minutes, then spike the finger while standing up so your hand is well below heart level (gravity is your friend).
If blood flow starts to slow use the other hand to massage in firm strokes from the wrist across the hand and down the finger, wipe away any clotting that starts to form. |

Honestly, the hot water makes all the difference in the world, really encourages blood flow.
I used to spend a lot of time trialling different testing kits and blood collection products, I've given a LOT of blood samples in my time! |

Make sure hands are really warm and stab on the side of the finger. Have the pot on a surface and slowly massage and squeeze your finger as if milking a cow. If one finger isn’t working try a different one, I find my best is my ring finger. The first drops are always the slowest but doing the above gets it flowing in no time for me. |

Could fill several in one go. My finger just wouldn't stop bleeding every time. Have to put it under cold running water and be quick with a large plaster to cover it up before the kitchen starts looking like a murder scene. |

"I drink a pint of water before pricking, if its too slow to collect and clots they may ask you to retest as the result can be Inconclusive"
I read that in the leaflet and that made me panic
I seem to clot almost instantly |

"I found pricking my ring finger and letting my arm hang down worked very well.
I do have visible veins on those fingers though."
When I go to have any blood taken they normally lose their shit with me my veins tend to hide |

Definitely with the hot water trick
Post workout does the job...
Or...Jump up and down a few times, shake your hands about like crazy- soak your hands in a bowl of water, as hot as you can stand - job done
Or you could just do your blood sample after a hot bath |

I filled it this morning first thing
Wouldn't mind bit of help for elsewhere, not just the blood but nights sleep
Need a good firm partner & great conversation like these
Like always a close plaster and some tissue xx |
