Not people but topics. Rarely post in the game type threads or the fuck kiss avoid threads.
Just because I may not get in with a person I’ll still offer advice or do a contribution if they’ve posted a good thread. |

No, most of the time I don't notice who has started a thread. The only threads I avoid are situational, where someone repeats the same cycle of behaviour over and over and gets exactly the same results over and over. I've already sympathized or commented on an earlier cycle, I can't add anything I haven't already said the first half dozen times the poster had the issue. |

I try so hard not to post to threads created by certain people but i just can't help it.
People just seem to like to tip toe and pander to people when they instinctively probably know the topic is most likely bollocks.

Yes I do on a daily basis.
Some because of their previous belligerent and misogynistic comments and some for repeated misandry.
Unfortunately a lot of people have very short memories and forumites who just a few short months ago were being lambasted for every post they made are now hailed as popular contributors.
I avoid their info gathering threads because I know from conversations at a few group socials that private stories and info is being shared.

Because some think it is a sure fire way to gain the attention they crave. But if you watch it is the same groups who post on those type of threads |

I'm sure they all have their own endgame. While it's eye-opening to see how intelligent people ignore what goes on it is also uncomfortable that people who have been removed from private chat groups for their predatory behaviour are gaining an air of respectability due to their new and improved forum personas.
I chat to very few people and meet rarely but if I am fully aware of what goes on then surely those who are much more invested will know also.

Yes and no. I would tend to steer clear of a couple of posters as they get on my tits a bit, but I don’t dislike anyone enough to full on avoid them.
I like the Lounge but don’t post to certain threads on other fora, because of sexism (I allow ‘her’ to send her kecks to other men - erm, fuck off back to the 70s you twat), or if it’s a sexual topic that I can’t relate to. |

"Why would I avoid a stranger on the internet different opinions are a good thing I'm
Mature enough to see past the crap"
Exactly. A discussion is a good thing, even with those that you wouldn't normally see eye to eye with.
If you are going to over analyse everything and dodge certain people you may as well not bother logging in. |

Sometimes by who started and the deliberate consistant baityness of their titles.
Other times by the regular Jeremy Vine style old favourites - women drivers, cheating, immigration etc
Of cours, I still join in the fabbing ones....hoping that one day.... |

I was trying to avoid this thread
Seriously though I do now avoid certain threads, not because of the poster but because of the content.
I like to add a bit of humour to my posts if I can and that’s not always an option. I also avoid the threads where the same people swoon over each other every week |

A discussion is one thing but that involves a number of opinions being debated in a civil manner. I'm blind to race, creed, colour and gender in any discussion but it doesn't take braille to see an arsehole. |

Sometimes. Partly because we try to avoid interaction with people we don't like/have blocked. Other times to avoid drama (some people love to start arguments using threads) |

Discussion's can get heated, it goes with the territory. A swinging site is probably not the best place to expect a civil debate.
I just take every comment on its merit.

Why not?? Just because this is a "swinging site" doesn't mean we have to lower our standards on civility and humility. If anyone on here has a moral compass then this is the place to exercise our benevolence. |

Not always on 'who' but generally on 'what'
even then some I open turn out to be shite and those I thought might be shite turn out to be fun.
Luckily for me I include myself in all of what happens to me......... I make choices and don't blame the other dickheads for spoiling my day
There are TWO posters at present that ...... oh shit make that THREE , that I wouldn't open if you were battering me with a tea spoon to do so.
But that's not THEM is it? It's a combination of THEM and ME...... just as what you do is about YOU too not just them.
End of the day it doesn't matter. |

That's not what he said.
Be fair. You took one line out of context and made it fit your argument which could have been made in isolation.
I agree with what you say that we can have civility AND I agree with what 'thingy' said ...
He said . Not the BEST place and he's right.
If asked for the BEST place for a civil debate No One would say 'a swingers site forum' ... that's the best place.
He's right. |

This is a 'swinging site' however it doesn't necessarily mean we have to lower our standards on civility and humility. If anyone on here has a moral compass then this is the (ideal) place to exercise our benevolence. |
