I fondly remember the ancient red carpet in my parents room. Always a dusty room with various inherited bits of furniture. For some reason dad kept a disarmed German bomb by the side of his bed. Nothing big but guess live it could have blown the windows out?! |

Hmmm i dont have one thats quite sad really because ive had alot of rugs and carpets and usually i get quite attached to inanimate objects.
I do have a carpet i remember hating, as a child our kitchen had a very short fine stranded carpet almost like very smooth velvet, it was awful and the texture used to make my skin crawl especially on bare feet |

The one in my Grandparents living room. It's been down since about 1963 and although a bit worn in places, it's still there. It's incredibly gaudy by modern sleek standards, but it's something that's been a constant for my entire life. It's green with red flowers. The green suite is also from sometime in the 60s.... |

My parents had carpet tiles in the kitchen for years. Sort of like compressed nylon netting. Trod in food was trapped within for ever.. |

I remember something like this, it felt like you crushed it as you walked on it, I think it was advertised as a carpet that was stain free and you could scrape anything off it no idea what it was called.
