"I'm the eldest...and it has totally shaped me... I'm always the responsible one on a night out... that alone is a scary fact.
Never lost a person, phone, keys or shoes mind...."
I'm the youngest, but I'm also like that. |

I'm the older brother - my parents were much stricter with me & they had a lot more expectations..
When my younger brother came along, they pretty much didn't have the same energy left anymore and they kind of let him do what he wanted.
As a result, I think about things very carefully before I do them. My younger brother will rush out and do things without much thought..
So yes, although I've only presented anecdotal evidence, I think it does effect your personality. |

I'm the oldest I have a load of brothers, I am also the oldest of this generation in my family. I can't say if its shaped my personality but I reckon its brought out certain traits that I possessed anyway. |

I'm the older brother and my parents were far stricter with me.
My younger sister had it much easier and she was definitely the favourite. If I wanted to do something or get something, the answer was "why do you want to do that". My sister never had that and was supported more in her hobbies etc. |

She's doing the graft now mind you... I was pushed to be independant... she's (happily) back at home worrying about Mum.. I just wander in twice a week for a visit and I'm not mean..talk to Mum every day... |

I’m oldest if 2. I’m like Dad, calm and takes stuff in my stride. My Sister is like Mum, thinks she’s ‘Alpha’ but knows considerably less than she thinks she does. |

Second of Five, oldest was only 10 months older, we were in the same year at school he was highly intelligent, I was always made to feel the dumb one by some teacher so never bothered trying to compete, so yes this affected me in my younger years

I'm the youngest of 4 and there's a bigger age gap between me and the next youngest than the next youngest and the oldest. Think that's why I'm still seen as the baby |

I'm the youngest of two. I got away with all sorts. Birth order AND my nature combined. I remember watching my brother in our teen, formative years and learning from his mistakes. It made me pretty savvy. |

I am the oldest, the oldest son and the oldest grandson …. My role is to protect and not be over bearing. Sometimes they need to learn by themselves … sometime you have to step. |

I’m the oldest. There’s 11 and a half years between my sister and I. We’ve never argued and I love her and look out for her as if she was my baby to begin with. I used to steal her out of her cot every night and take her in my room to sleep on my chest, once I woke up and couldn’t find her and she’d slipped down the side of my bed. She was fine though. |

Oldest of three blood siblings, 4th youngest of 10 if you include my step-siblings that joined us nearly 8 years ago.
I've always been responsible and organised. Always looking out for others and being one that they turn to. Can be a blessing and a burden at the same time. |

I have picked my sister up twice from hospital when she’s has her stomach pumped from alcohol poisoning when she was in her teens. Also from a police cell when she was caught pinching from Claire’s accessories and bit the shop owners hand when she chased and grabbed my sister. She was a menace. Always picking her up from here there and everywhere early hours but that was more me telling her never walk anywhere alone, always ring me.
But she’s turned out beautifully. Psychotherapist who did a stint at broadmore prison, worked in the cancer ward in Cardiff. She works for new pathways for the police where she does medical exams on sexual assault victims the swabs and what not. She’s now doing her thesis in uni for something else. She’s a lovely lovely young woman. |

Oldest. I am the most chilled and nothing seems to faze me. Best mates with younger siblings they have had their ups and downs with each other. I've been the peace maker on many occasions when we were younger. |

Im the eldest of 4.
I always had to be the responsible one, looking after the others.
Nothing has changed, I'm nearly 50 and they still come to me with their problems.
Also my mother was fairly strict with me but number 4 got away with anything. |
