Are you a big deal on social media?

I’m technically a “micro influencer” on Instagram (not that I’ve ever been able to influence anything as a result) and it got me thinking, do any of you have big followings on social media? Are you completely different there than you are here, or basically the same? For me, the content I post is vastly different, but the general sass and tongue in cheek humour is the same |

Only on here, where I influence absolutely nobody, and Twatter mainly for football. I’ve got about 850 followers I think, so no. Not a big deal at all.
I came off Fakebook a couple of years ago as it was shit “Somebody better shut their mouths!” “What’s up Hun?” “Cant say on here, message me”
If it wasn’t for the football I wouldn’t be on Twatter either.
And you can stick your Insta, WhatsApp and TikTok up your arse too.
I’m only on Fab because there’s boobies. And I like boobies ( . Y . )

Deleted my Instagram account 2 years ago because I'd never used it and couldn't see the point of it. Haven't posted anything on FB in a similar length of time and never had a Twitter account so not really missing out on much.
It's a bit of a misnomer anyway as it's more Antisocial media. |

Don't get why folk feel the need to even be on it.
Like most things today, starts off with craving attention then crying a few months down the line about being stalked etc.

I have been on FB since 2013
I have the sum total of 48 friends on there and post very seldomly
I use it to look at posts from 3 or 4 groups I follow and like the odd friends post
It's pretty much a distraction whilst I'm on the loo
I am not on Instagram at all
I am most certainly not a big deal and have no interest in being |

No, not in the slightest 
Most people don't like my attitude, my love for the word cunt or the fact I don't love everything they post. Although I prefer Instagram to FB as I can put a pretty picture up while calling someone a cunt  |

Not a big deal. But I use social media for business a lot. I love Instagram for photography as I'm an amateur photographer. Some fantastic accounts there. |

I have an account on most social things but mainly they’ve been used a few times and left to rot for years. I use Twatter for reading material but don’t post. I’m on a couple of other old fashioned forums for a couple of hobbies. I’m pretty light touch online |

My son is a twitch streamer and content creator. He is in the top 3% of streamers in America with his own clothing brand and gets sponsership from Xbox, Oodie, and game companies. He earns enough to pay his mortgage with it, it has taken him a good few years to get to this point though

I'm pretty quiet on SM and it's all private anyway. I did used to admin a breastfeeding group and spend a huge chunk of time creating informative content for that. I know it isn't an "influencer" but it was something I loved doing |

I agree - Instagram is brilliant for photographers. Would be lovely to hear about some new ones .
I’ve never been that into social media, and certainly never influenced anyone. I’ve had an idea for something though, and thought “that might be of interest to a few people online”. Just looking into whether it could be done. It’s a bit “niche” (not filthy), but I think it’d be appreciated.

I mostly can’t stand social media. Haven’t touched my Facebook in about 6 years, have never bothered with Instagram, Pinterest or anything like that.
I know some of these are messaging rather than full social media, but have never used Kik, SnapChat or downloaded TikTok either. |

It really did. I traveled 4 hrs to get there and walked in to a round of applause 
I spent the afternoon chatting with pretty much everyone in turn. So many came to ask me to chat with them next.
The same group have been incredibly supportive of me in my ups and downs. I don’t just post my progress I also talk about when I hit a wall or am in a very dark place. They have kept me going when it would have been so easy without them to have done something rash. |

I have twitter - I couldn't tell you when I last used it - was originally set up for my crafting hobby.
I have a blog for my photography /crafting & sewing hobby/ life blog which I haven't updated for a while.
Instagram for my photography & crafting - used that recently.
Facebook I do have but contributed very little but like to "people watch" on it but tend to unfollow those who record every. piece. Of their. life. in it (dots are for emphasis).
As for followers or influencing anyone, I couldn't give a hoot - my life doesn't depend on my popularity or influence. I'm no different in real life as to how I am here. |

I’m not but my baby is on Instagram. He’s a pampers influencer and a brand ambassador for a couple of items. He’s offered collabs and brand ambassadors constantly but we will only collab with U.K. brands and only if it’s beneficial to us to do so. Not bad for less than 4 months old |

I have friends and ex-colleagues I like scattered across the globe, so Facebook lets me keep in touch. It also lets me appear to be involved with my step-family and some distant cousins without my needing to actually interact with then, so it works well for me.
I have few FB friends (150, 200 maybe), but I know each and every one of them.
I'm on a porn forum and that's slightly different, because short of blocking someone you can't stop them following you, no permissions needed. No idea how many followers I have on there but I've been on there over a decade so it'll be a good chunk. Pretty sure I'm not influencing anyone on there though.
Those two and this site are the only social media I use, and I treat them all as lighthearted entertainment. |
