Has anybody had a planned meet that had been set up for a while, with messages going back and forth really well for you to be blocked on here an hour before and ghosted out of the blue???
It's really thrown me... |

I’ve been lucky that all my planned meets (when I used to have them, a long, long time ago!) went ahead as planned.
Sorry to hear about your experience - were they well verified and are you sure they weren’t a catfish? Some people play some odd games on here and take some perverse enjoyment out of it, or maybe they just chickened out at the last minute or maybe some sort of genuine emergency has overtaken proceedings?
Don’t let one experience get you down - plenty more fish in the Fab sea |

Sorry to hear you've been ghosted after prolonged messaging and an arranged meet.
Unfortunately is quite common for both male and females to behave in such a manner - there are enough threads on similar subjects.
Brush yourself down, hold head up high, and don't give up! |

Yes, it's happened to me a couple of times, normally after I've set off for the meet or when I'm sitting in the venue we've agreed.
It's one of the reasons I'm now so circumspect about agreeing to meet and chat for a good long while first.
Sorry it happened to you OP. |

A bit longer than an hour before but it's happened twice. Also a couple of times we've had a loose agreement to meet socially and the other person never confirms. Possibly we're partly to blame for not chasing that up but we don't like to make people feel awkward. |
