It’s a great place especially if your active, like food and want to have a gateway to Europe!
But it’s is expensive house prices, rental etc.
But during covid we’ve been really lucky not many places I can go ride my road/ mtb bike, go sea swimming, kite surfing and finish with a sunset paddle board within 5 mins of my house

Probably films from the 80s would be my guilty pleasure.
Obscure films from that era like "southern comfort" & "after hours" i like a lot.
Guilty pleasures musically, again it would prob be stuff from the 80s, stuff i wouldn't be in a hurry to advertise that i liked. I really liked a band called "Mr mister". I still think the singer, Richard Page has a super powerful voice when he does versions of the tracks that are stripped down with just himself and an acoustic guitar.

Totnes is extremely liberal, very hippie, alternative lifestyle, kind of town. The shops are a mixture of independent, and 'artisan' craft shops, interspersed with charity shops and tea ships serving vegan gluten free, egg free, dairy free, sugar free cakes; all of which are hugely overpriced. Its not somewhere I generally enjoy visiting. |
