"Too many to list, but answering just so I can say "Elvis"" Surprised no one else has picked up on this, you’re 45 and Elvis died 44 years ago....did you go to one of his concerts aged 1? I’ve been to an ABBA concert, my mom went to their concert when she was pregnant with me so I was an unborn foetus at the time but I was still there. That’s a true story, I’m not saying that to mock the Elvis claim.

Not many go to USA concerts at the age of one. Or do they??" Well not many 1 year olds go to concerts anywhere in the world. Do you mean not many 1 year olds travel from here to USA to go to a concert? I’m assuming if he did go to an Elvis concert at the age of 1 he was living in USA at the time.

There’s only one Elvis. Anyone else is a cheap imitation but unfortunately Costello has been given this label. The use of quotation marks in his reference to Elvis would suggest there’s more to the story than meets the eye.

" I don’t think anyone can claim to be somewhere by being present as a sperm. I’m pushing it by claiming to have been to an ABBA concert as an unborn foetus but I don’t think anyone can claim to be present before fertilisation has occurred. Yeah, I think the quotation marks are quite telling and probably does indicate he means Elvis Costello. I don’t know what’s worse....trying to claim to have been to an Elvis Presley concert as a 1 year old or actually admitting to attending an Elvis Costello concert haha.

Totally agree with you there. But hopefully he means Elvis and I’ve got to admire the cheekiness of them to try and stake a claim to seeing the king haha
"Oh, by the way. Michael Jackson. A true artist. The only one we really wished that we had was of course The King. Elvis Presley. But oh boy did I feel some type of way when I saw Dre come onto the stage. I was literally screaming. I’m a big Eminem fan so anything to do with Marshall I’m on it like a heart beat. I’m kinda glad that some fabbers have seen him too

"btw, if you go see orchestras, djs, fucken britains got talent popsicles,,,it all counts. if you think you love music, go see the shows. be it at stadia or theatres or your local fleapit. esp nowadays when musicians cant make an honest buck selling records they need you buying tickets, t-shirts, cds from the merch stalls. support live music xxx" What they said Especially smaller artists who are especially struggling. Watched some great bands at Steelhouse festival in August, specifically bought a signed drumhead from the Revival Black guys because A) they were brilliant and B) they were literally camping 3 tents down from me
"Rick Wakeman a whole bunch of times Van der Graaf Generator about four times Peter Hammill several times Hawkwind twice (first time maybe 40 years ago, second time 5 years ago) Renaissance twice (similar time interval) Jah Wobble Yes Steve Hackett perhaps five times John Wetton Genesis a long long time ago at Reading Rock festival Lindisfarne Bill Nelson Blast First Landscape Camel Tangerine Dream Cliff Richard (in the Heathcliffe musical) Gordon Giltrap a bunch of times Lau, 3 times I think Greenslade 21st Century Schizoid Band King Crimson Dan Deacon The Durutti Column Ed Alleyne-Johnson (one of his street performances) The Enid (bought a ticket in 1986, concert cancelled because of two feet of snow, finally got to see them in 2006) Gary Numan Elbow Hanna Peel Hidden Orchestra (they were really good) The Watch (Genesis tribute) Tubular Brass (Tubular Bells done by a brass band) Tubular Bells for Two (Tubular Bells played live, every single instrument, by two amazing aussie guys) Tori Amos Steve Winwood Queen Steve Howe Siobhan Wilson Future Islands Icebreaker with BJ Cole (live performance of Brian Eno's Apollo) Jan Akkerman Public Service Broadcasting John Metcalfe Joe Brown (bloody good night out that is, but I think this year is going to be his final tour) Otway & Barrett Jon Anderson with Rick Wakeman David Essex Philip Jeck Philip Glass Peter Gabriel (Reading Rock festival again) Marconi Union Marston Smith (he's kind of a US equivalent of Ed Alleyne-Johnson, street performer with an electric cello!) Blackmore's Night Motorhead Concrete Strawberry (very first gig I went to, local band in Sheffield) Ophiuchus (a kraut rock type synth band in Rotherham, at least 45 years ago) Otis Gibbs Ozric Tentacles Curved Air Neil Innes The Rocky Horror Show a couple of times .... I think that's most of them, might be a few that I've forgotten" wow that's a fantastic selection of concerts...I'm well jell

The biggest shock for me was Queen, well two members of and Adam Lambert. I went with my best friend and had her ear bent saying it's not Queen, there's no Queen without Freddie. I have to take my hat off to Adam he is a helluva showman and after the opening number he addressed what i and probably many others were thinking. Not his words verbatim but something along the lines of..... "Belfast, how you doing? I know what you're all thinking, I'm not Freddie Mercury....hell no I'm not and nobody could be but I am a huge Freddie and Queen fan and I hope you join me in celebrating their music tonight" The show was immense

Love slayer. Seen them so many times myself. An u lucky son of a bitch u see pantera . I’ve pretty much seen every death metal, numetal and slam metal bands going.
