What is Hypergamy?
Why do some or many date across and up, and Monkey Branch?
What is Brought to the table oe level playing field?
If a man does not have a job car own flat he is overlooked. For dating or a relationship.
Yet if a woman has neither her standing is not Affected. She still will be snapped up by the White Knight..

My husband told me (while he was crying and kind of apologising for the 27 years of abuse) that I need someone better than him; especially someone more intelligent.
Now, those were his words, not mine and I was devastated that he cheated on me and didn't want to be with me.
I'm assuming you're talking about real life relationships, not trying to fuck people on here. |

What happens if your partners social or financial standing changes for the worse during the relationship do you then look for another partner? What if your standing changes for the worse would you expect to be kicked into touch?

I had someone very close to me.
Got married . Bought a massive house in stock broker belt area. Huge mortgage etc. High powered job.
Cancer triggered off he went to hospital. Had harsh Chemo etc.
His wife then
Suddenly changed. And went off him
All down hill from there. She filed for divorce and half of all the 3 properties!
Took the Swagg and shifted out. Now banging a younger fella.

I guess I'm doing it wrong. Both my partners are fairly skint  . I earned more than one when we first met but now it's about the same. The other earns a bit more than me but lives alone so is skint. We're all renting. One doesn't have a car and I have a better car than the one who does. I kinda prefer it as what we can afford to do is somewhat similar. |

Ahh right. No. If experience has taught me one thing it’s the fact I’m not a gold digger.
I was saying a guy in 2011 the guy who introduced me to here funnily enough, he’s long gone now but he was 5 years older than me, lived in the attic of his parents house, didn’t have a car or even a licence, didn’t have a job and was on JSA but he was very handsome and extremely funny and that’s all I needed. Thank goodness I was brought up to be an independent, capable woman who expects equal relationships.
That's nothing to to with wealth or income.
I have always worked full time and I own the house. I was the main wage earner when with my ex and for the first few years with my husband. For a few months he was unemployed.
I fell in love with my husband because he is a wonderful, kind, caring helpful guy, who also happens to be great in bed  |

I've once in my life had a relationship with someone who out-earned me. Sadly he was a gambling addict who spent every penny he had and every penny I had too, before turning extremely abusive and ending up in jail, leaving me with a few health issues and a shit ton of debt I'd stupidly taken out trying to help him.
I am now financially stable to the point I don't need to consider anyone else's circumstances.
My favourite relationship was with someone who had never learned to drive and lived in a HMO - no house, no car, but he was an engaging, interesting and sexy as fuck bloke.
In a serious committed relationship what mattered to me was that we both had the same attitude towards money, not that we both earned the same or that he could somehow earn enough to keep me. |

irrc hypergamy (as per the red pill way of looking at it) involves trading up, not just seeking a partner of higher "status". I'm not sure which the OP is talking about, but it seems to be taking on a newer form than simply marrying up. And so it's not about a women going after a man that has more than her... But that she will get rid at some point for better. (eg if you date handsome and poor, you will dump him for handsome and not so poor)

To be honest, it is extremely obvious that people would be attracted to "qualities that impress". For people that feel they are "not good enough" for those the seek to attract, the answer is to make yourself a more impressive person...
Luckily, the characteristics that people are attracted to are a matter of personal taste, and everyone has "some" qualities that others find attractive.

Having said that, the whole concept of being "not good enough" for someone, is a bit weird, I personally think that all people are of equal "value" regardless of attributes which may make them more or less appealing to someone else.

4. Man - not always. I wasn't. I know numerous others who weren't either.
5. Woman - I'm sure that doesn't always happen either. Women may have lots of choice, but it doesn't mean the choices are any good.
