Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

"god bless anyone whose house is flooded.

Neither could I. It is awful and I watch the news worried for those I know and those that are living with the threat of a flood.

Aye Morpeth has got the clatter once again - some Hellish scenes over there. We live about 6 miles further down the river but fortunately we're on higher ground and very close to the river mouth so our surface water tends to get straight into the sea.

Nightmarish here, the valley is just a massive lake. All main roads to the local village are shut, had to take a half hour detour tonight just to get home.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Catterick Village is under water. Looks like tomorrows meeting at the Garrison might be postponed!

The Met Office have issued a warning that people who like standing on piers might end up on the news

I feel so sorry for any one affected by this terrible weather, it must be heartbreaking - I pray the rain stops soon. Z

It's everyone's nightmare and my feelings go out to those effected. Does annoy me though that some local councils give planning permission for new developments on flood plains... Where's the logic?? Baffles me.

I think the idiots that work for Gloucester City Council have done that, what plans they are going to set in place to protect people, I have no idea but personally I wouldn't buy a place there
