I always get slagged off for having food that’s dry as a bone
So in my roll I’d have fried egg (with a rock solid yoke ... I know ... weirdo), potato scone, and sausage.
No sauce obviously |

Mine was going to Scottish square sausage, Scottish butchers beef link sausages, Stornoway black pudding, that were taken out the freezer late yesterday afternoon and fresh eggs that I source from a local farm. Then I went to Morrison's around five o'clock, and the deli counter had just put a stack of mixed meats out at less than quarter of the normal price. So on return the sausages etc went back in the freezer in favour of cold meats in rolls for breakfast which are all the more tasty when they are acquired at a knock down price. |

"Egg, mushroom, swiss cheese and garlic mayo
You've clearly already got yours with your garlic mayo"
Im a single guy on fab so the chances of early morning garlic being an issue are slim |

K has just got up to find us some breakfast. We're both aching today after a weekend of indulgences.
I don't really care what breakfast is this morning, I'm just grateful he's doing the 'hunter' bit

Used to have these burgers at work which were sausage meat and it was mixed with either black pudding or haggis wrapped in smoked bacon. So it would be that in a roll layered with butter. |

I'm quite particular.
Bacon - back or streaky (must be smoked - it isn't bacon if it isn't smoked).
Sausage: Not cheap crap and cut AFTER it has been cooked.
Egg: Poached or fried with a medium yolk.
Sauce: English (or Indian) mustard mixed with green chilli sauce then somewhat watered down with ketchup.
I know it sounds weird but you have to try it! |

Richmond's vegetarian sausages, Quorn bacon, buttered fried mushrooms and a medium fried egg. Just add salt and black pepper and hand it over while you're making me a mug of tea please. |

Bacon is bacon due to the curing not the smoking process... |

Oh yeah? So, why isn't gammon bacon? It's cured pork, right? Or ham for that matter...
I get there is "unsmoked" bacon but to me that is like an "unsmoked" kipper. It just isn't...right.
Jamie Oliver can shove his "higher welfare organic that only eats sunlight unsmoked naturally cured" rashers up his arse. And he can film "Jules" picking them out with chopsticks whilst preparing a hunter's chicken made from "organic" chicken breasts smothered in Jamie Oliver's "natural" brown sauce seasoning.
Fuck it; if it isn't smoked - it isn't bacon |
