Sooo, I feel like a bit of a dick , but, I put a mask of banana, honey and olive oil on my hair. I’ve washed it off and it’s really horrible. Even with a huge load of conditioner, I can’t get a brush through it. Any suggestions?

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Wash it through with shampoo, then conditioner and brush through with it wet in the shower?

Cut it all off, add some flour and pop it in the oven?

Is it still oily? Use a clarifying shampoo like Head and Shoulders or Vosene (or a proper clarifying shampoo!).

Liberally coat your hair in conditioner. More than you need in week, and leave it to penetrate and soak in - a good 20-30 mins. Then get a wide toothed comb and start combing from the bottom and just move up gently and slowly. Might take another 20 mins to combe through.

Rinse off and leave and wash again in the morning.

If your hair is dry do you have any olive ot avocado oil? If so use a little and massage it into your hair and scalp and let it sit for a couple of hours to moisturise. You could wrap your hair/haid in clingfilm to keep the warmth in.

Shampoo and condition then rinse with a mixture of apple cider vinegar 5% and cold water 95%.

Oooh maybe pop some big standard conditioner on the ends/mid length for 10 mins and rinse off, maybe the honey dried it out. I used honey with henna a few times and it can be drying. Good luck!

Brush or comb in small sections starting with the ends working upwards and with a lot of patience. With longer hair I've been finding brushing easier with a hairdryer on it.

This will probably not fix the problem entirely but then you can go out to get something to rehydrate your hair. I've never tried anything home made so no suggestions why it may have turned out like this. Hope you'll find something that helps.

Normal olive oil is fine.

You don’t use too much, enough to cover your hair but not drown it. It shouldn’t be dripping.

Ideally cold pressed extra virgin olive oil.

It sounds like you may have over proteined your hair.

That is absolutely up to you I’d whisk them then rub it in, comb it through then leave it fir an hour before washing it out

For home hair care, I cover my hair in oil, warm a towel in the dryer or on the heater and wrap it tightly. Hot oil treatment and no icky mess after it’s been washed out

No argon oil helps the frizz, i have that in abundance.

Detangling conditioner and spray help with the knots.

Deep condition once a week.

If yours is greasy at the roots don't use the oil there, talc is good for oily roots.

What about if you fill a bucket or washing up bowl with water and swish your hair about in it? So it floats about rather than trying to drag the banananana out of it.

You need to apply detoxifying shampoo which usually strips the build-up of viscous hair products (normally used once a week because it's quite astringent). It would have the same affect in this case.

"Shave it all off. It should be back for the MLS

I knew you’d be here with a pearl of wisdom, but you kept it cleaner than I expected "

I was going to say cover your head in sex piss and let it set for an hour then repeat but I thought it would be best not to

Detoxifying versus Exfoliating = it's the pretty much the same thing (boucleme). Alternatively: "Phyto PHYTODETOX CLARIFYING DETOX SHAMPOO".

Like someone has already suggested ... fairy liquid.

Apply and leave on for as long as you can stick it then rinse. Your hair will be squeaky clean but remember to use conditioner after.

If you have coloured hair be prepared for it to be stripped. I've been in your position and there is no panic quite like it

Why did you put banana and honey into your hair

Don't use fairy liquid, it will strip it /dry it out

I would recommend slathering with conditioner or a hair mask and wrapping in clingfilm or a warm towel. Then comb through thoroughly

"Sooo, I feel like a bit of a dick , but, I put a mask of banana, honey and olive oil on my hair. I’ve washed it off and it’s really horrible. Even with a huge load of conditioner, I can’t get a brush through it. Any suggestions? "

Just have to ask - Why?
