"Going to a nice restaurant "

Yes of course otherwise it wouldn't be a nice restaurant if everyone turned up in jeans or jogger's.

Then it's no better than McDonald's.

Cheshire

Definitely, even a decent shirt, jeans and shoes is putting in an effort. Pub or restaurant these days should be a bit more dressy in the evening.

Oh that sounds exciting, I love a fancy restaurant. My son takes me to a posh place in Edinburgh which has a dress code and everything

Everything. Everything is worth getting dressed up for. If you have nice clothes wear them every day. Someone once told me I turned up for work looking as if I was going out for dinner. I looked at her like , why wouldn't I wear nice stuff if I have it?

When my aunt died in her mid eighties we cleared pristine clothes out of her wardrobe that she'd been saving for "best". What a waste of lovely clothes.

I agree with you on this. If you own nice clothes why save them for special occasions. Life is a special occasion

Yep. Obviously I don't relax in an evening gown and tiara though

Do you think? I know that people often say that about me . I do dress more casually than I used to since I stopped working though. I just enjoy clothes

I'm talking extremes, my smart casual is definitely more smart than casual...but I'd never rock up to the local bowling alley in a spangly dress

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Always for a nice restaurant.

After more than a year of wearing comfy clothes in front of a screen I'm making a point of wearing a different nice outfit for every in-person meeting I have.
