I'm staying in Sheffield this coming Thursday and was hoping to experience the town. Any tips on the bars? Not really into loud clubs, something along the lines of a lively and friendly atmosphere. |

Leopold Square has some decent-ish bars.
The Riverside at Kelham is nice, but it's out of the town centre. There are a few nice pubs around Kelham to be honest, and it's more chilled than the centre. |

"Stay clear of london road lol.also be carfull on west street."
I used to live in Sheffield ages ago (well, decade back). At some point, lived around London Road, and I had the distinct impression that it was going from rough to acceptable and up and coming. Did the gentrification go back?
West Street was quite chavy |

Hello OP I’d suggest “The Wick at Both Ends” on West Street.
West street is a strip of bars and clubs in the centre with roads off it that have some great bars too.
What kind of music are you into? |
