we'll be using the same artificial one that we got 17 years ago when we moved in here. It's a bit shabby now but my housemate doesn't want to get rid of it |

Real trees can die quite quickly, even if they are marketed as long-lasting.
They look and smell more like Christmas to me though.
Do you have a garden it can spend the rest of it's life in decaying once Christmas is over? |

Real tree, artificial cant beat the smell of real pine
When you wake up on those chilly mornings and you head downstairs, the smell of the pine with the sparkling from the decorations, the Christmas songs playing in the background with a coffee in one hand and a mince pie in the other. The presents neatly wrapped and placed under the tree
Ah good times |

"Was always a real tree man, but 2 years ago the price jumped from £60 to nearly £100 - sod that… artificial was purchased in the sale and never looked back.
Oh it’s going up today "
Yeah same here. Bought the fake one in Jan just because it's was a ridiculous deal wasn't sure ifb I'd use it because used it last year and am happy with it. |

I am in possession now of the family tree. It was passed down to me by my mum a few years ago. It's literally been part of my Christmas all my life. Its old, worn and basic (by today's standards) but I put it up with pride every year. That and the little cheap musical lighting Santa train set. They are part of my family heritage (I'm just really sentimental really).

Mines an artificial one. Bought a new one this year 7.5ft flocked and I love it. Gave my old tree to my friend cos she snapped the base on hers and my old one looks so small compared to the new one. even though it was 6ft.
Can see some of my tree in my new pics but pics don’t do it justice. It’s beautiful. |
