I need a bit of light, however small. I sometimes, and still, get night terrors that are so vivid, I need the light from the moment my eyes open to ease my mind from the mania. |

"If I’m tired I’ll sleep day or night.
The only time I’m in pitch black is if staying in a hotel. London is never dark. "

Apparently they have curtains in London too. You'll find out soon enough. |

I prefer just a dimmed light, luckily the amber street lamp outside my windows gives just enough light for me to see everything easily but not enough to disturb me or keep me awake
Sound on the other hand, i need sound, i grew up near a motorway so i often find it hard to slow my brain down when its dead silent, so i fall asleep with something quietly playing on netflix in the background |

I need it pitch black! I'm really sensitive to light and like my bedtime to be dark. My partner gets so pissed off at me because even the small dim light from his watch or phone at night will wake me up and I'll moan at him. |

"I like no light on in my room, but I always leave the landing light on. I like the chink of light shining through by bedroom door.
What’s your preference ?
"
I’m the same, I cannot sleep in total darkness |

Pitch black, or semi-dark are both good for me.
Currently semi-dark, so once the eyes adjust to the low-light, the furniture in the room throws strange shapes around the walls.
Sometimes its "the Wolves", other times if the airer is out, it's "The squat man".
Occasionally, if one of the mirrored-wardrobe doors is left open, it's "The Portal".
Overall though, it's shapes, patterns and shadows, always different.
I did toy with getting a lava lamp to make them more dynamic, but it'd probably shed too much light and be too interesting to look at. |

I travel a lot and worked out that if I sleep with the telly on then it blocks out all the strange noises you get in hotels e.g lifts, people walking down the corridors etc so I get a good sleep.
Unfortunately I tend do the same thing at home now as well |
