Who inspires you, or has inspired you? Famous or otherwise.

Could be for any reason; achievement, character, personality, striving through adversity.. etc etc

When I was a kid my Nan's aunt inspired me as she was in the Wrens and used to regale us with stories of traveling the world. I think she'd been to over 80 countries in her time.

I'm constantly inspired by people who've had really horrific shit happen to them but still manage to exude love and understanding. There was this boy in the States who got severely burned when he was a kid and now he does all kinds of work with helping others. Stuff like that really gives you some perspective.

My mum and my sister. They are the two strongest women I know. They have their faults and flaws but they’ve both been through so much. My sister has done well with property and life choices and now is a wonderful foster carer for young and vulnerable mums and babies, my mum who at 21 had 3 children then her dad died and so she had to raise her 3 siblings too so 6 kids at 21 and for all the shit she’s been through. We have strong women in my family.

Halifax

My Dad for sure. Worked for 40 years on the railway and the year he retired my Mum got diagnosed with dementia. It progressed and went down hill quite quickly. She was in a care home for 12 years and couldn't speak for the last 6 of them. He went pretty much every day to feed her her tea. That is love and dedication.
