Hello

I'm professional photographer and videographer. I wanted to see if any women / couple would like to have a FREE session (won't be shared anywhere, only private) for me to build my portfolio. If anyone is interested please let me know.

Up to 150 miles from Wiltshire.

Out of curiosity-

If you’re trying to build a portfolio, why no men?

Somewhere near here

Sometimes I wonder if I’ve stumbled across a photography page, the amount of “photographers” on here. And strangely the amount that say no men.

Bizarre

How would private photos help build a portfolio? Doesn't make sense. I know pro photographers and ...this isn't what they do.

I’m very disappointed, I could really do with some great photo’s too. Surely, someone building a portfolio, needs a variety of image utilising a broad spectrum of subject.

Me thinks this is just an excuse to photograph some fanny for the wank bank.

You guys are too harsh. I've done the job a long time and most models used are women. Yes he might be trying to find an in but if I was taking any erotic photos I wouldn't want a male as it's generally harder with less reward. Not many people will want to see a man naked but if a girl takes pics of her boobs everyday, she can get millions of followers on Instagram.

And welcome to the World of photography. Anyone with an slr will claim they're a pro. Good way to tell if they're the real deal is lighting. Look for evidence of flash photography or ambient light being skillfully utilised. Hard for the untrained eye to tell imho

At the very least it is worth expecting in the photographs in your own profile to give a sense how good you are.

Anyone can point and click a camera. Even photographers wbo aren't "professional".

You can always send photos if need be. Anyone can point and click but if you're well versed in digital art you know what a good photo looks like. Composition, lighting, editing etc all come into play. Only those with an untrained eye Will fall for such scams

Concentrate on your own photos 1st. That way you might be able to trick someone into believing you're a photographer

The first thing I check, when a ‘photographer’ messages or posts a thread advertising, is to look at the quality of their pics on here.

It surprises me how many ‘photographers’ don’t show off their work on their own profiles

Photographers and masseurs are in abundance on here…

Think you lose ownership once you put a photo on here. I would never put work on here when I can easily direct any trusted people to a website

Genuine photographers are on here, it's just a case of finding them. One is actually a verification of mine who has borrowed houses of mine for locations. Whilst he has done erotic photos for ladies wanting to give their partners a surprise present. He has won photographic competitions, one of which I know was sponsored by Canon. He also is on the books of an agency that provides film and television extras, and as such meets a lot of people trying to get into film and television, and done portfolios for them. He will photograph guys, and recently did a shoot for a gay guy who had aspirations of being a male model. I was also present at a particular shoot where I happened to have the props that were perfect for a 4th July independence day theme, and the two girls involved were trying to get into the American scene. Topless was as far as it went that day. However he isn't a walking, talking charitable institution, he would be likely to looking for expenses covered, unless of it's a connection with someone looking to play as well, that's different.

You don’t have to put pics of others on here…well taken pics of yourself would be a good start and a perfect advertisement.

No ownership issues as the pics are of you…

We agree we’ve had loads of budding photographers offer to take pics but they can’t even photo themselves

Oh the photographers are real, it’s the masseurs…It’s taken me 27 blindfolded massages and happy endings to realise they aren’t really masseurs

Presuming that you take self-portraits.... proper cringe if you ask Mr.

What I mean is that the site can use your imagery as it pleases. So you might as well sign away ownership by putting images on here. It's the same with a lot of websites, in particular social media

If someone wants to get photographic shoots from Fab members, then yes, you should at least have pics that demonstrate some sense of good composition and lighting at the very least. A good question to ask themselves - Would they buy into a photoshoot with a stranger, displaying the pics they do?!

And how does one build a portfolio that will not be shared? Surely such a thing is a ‘private collection’? Something does not quite add up!

Would this not be on your website? I still don't hear any benefits of having your work on here.

You clearly just want to guide people to your website so you aren’t going to ‘hear any benefits’.

The point is, if you’re a photographer on here then surely showing your work off, of what you can do with lighting, composition, editing would be better than the normal blank profiles and cock pics ‘photographers’ put on their profile.

Here is a free advert of what you can do…if your pics are good, people would be more inclined to be interested.

We aren’t photographers but we get people commenting on our pics. If we were photographers then it would be an easy in…the hard work would already be done. The customer is bought in already…you could then give people your website to show them what you can do with other people…

Seems a simple winning concept to me…

My point is if someone wants to see your work why not ask to see their online portfolio? If they're a pro they'll have one as it's how they get work. Gone are the days where you carry round a printed one. I don't understand why people are so against having to go onto another website?

Who would advertise over fab? There's so many disputes about ownership of photos and them using your images for promotion that a lot of people have disclaimers on their profiles.

I know you're not a photographer because you don't speak or act like one. Even if I was an erotic tog I wouldn't be advertising on here. My images are how I make money so I'd be reluctant to put them on a site that is known for ripping them. Also, if you are taking images of people on here and they then put the ipics on here, surely they can direct any potential customers to you. At the end of the day, I don't see fab as a serious place to promote my work and if someone can't be bothered to click on a link I send them, they obviously don't want a photographer that much
