What contraceptive pill are you on? Does it agree with you? Any side effects?
Years ago I was put onto Cerazette and I hated it, made me proper psycho so had to come off it and it put me off going on any hormones again so since just used condoms which have worked just great.
I’ve also got a good 28 day cycle where I know when I’m due on and when I ovulate.
I am booking an appointment to discuss my options this week and make a decision whether to go on anything again or not, just wanted to get some opinions from people. Thanks.

Decogestrel. It hasn’t got both hormones in so it’s safer for my age. You take it constantly so haven’t had a period in about 5 years. Best thing I did. No side effects for me. You have to take it same time of day or within a couple of hours though if you’re using it for contraception x |

The depo injection works for me. During covid I couldn’t have it as the docs stopped them so they put me on an oral pill and it didn’t agree with me at all. I can’t remember the name but it began with a D I think.
I’m now back on the depo and happy again |

I’ve tried most things. Started off when I was younger on the combined pill but after my first baby I was advised to go on the injection. It wasn’t until I came off that I realised what it was doing to me. I had awful skin and hair loss from it. I tried the implant but didn’t keep that in long as it was worse. Tried mini pill but again made my skin bad so ended up on the merina coil. I am on my 3rd one and I’ve had no issues with it whatsoever, I don’t get periods either which is great. I was also told the Merina coil help with menopause which I’m stating to go through |

I’m on the same. No side effects. Still have periods but they’re few and far between and only ever really light. |

"Femodene. It works just fine for me and my body is really fussy when it comes to contraception. "
Its a low dose combined pill. Pretty safe if you are not a smoker and not over certain weight. |

I was on microgynon 30 to begin with but can raise your blood pressure. Cerazette made me psycho and sent my moods all over the place, went from been sociable to mardy in 30secs flat. I'm currently on noriday and to be fair moods have levelled out perfectly and monthlies are a lot lighter. Definitely talk to nurse/Dr though as what works for one person may not necessarily for others xT |

I've been on Logynon for about 14 years and it's always worked for me. Periods are like clockwork and no drastic side effects. I can feel a dramatic difference in my mood when I have my 7 day break though, can be a little touchy to say the least
It will be interesting to see what my bodies like without it, on the waiting list to have my tubes done then ill be contraception free forever! |

Brevinor. I struggle to find one that works for me. This one is okay. Some achne, weight gain, low blood pressure / fainting, and loss of sex drive though
Hormonal contraceptives don't really agree with me, I've tried loads. I prefer to use nothing. But when meeting a lot and bare it's too risky so I'm back on them |
