How flexible are you

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

How flexible are you from 0, being stiff as a wooden board that you just crack at the first pressure and a 10, being as flexible as a circus du soleil contortionist?

And was your flexibility useful in everyday life and what about in the bedroom?

Do you stretch regularly??

Id rate myself an 8 x I am pretty flexible particularly my lower part of the body from the waist down. Upper back, I’m not as flexible but working on it!

Im working on my splits so I can do all the best moves for pole dancing

I don't stretch nearly as much as I should. I reckon I'm more flexible in my upper body than my lower body but would love more flexibility in my hips and knees

I can touch my toes for the first time in many a year

Yay!!! That’s good tho!! I have some friends who literally are unable to touch their toes and look like they will break in half if I push them into touching their toes

I'm currently about a 4.5 (the .5 makes all the difference!)

I always try to do about 5 minutes of stretches each morning & certainly does help, especially when i'm sat down in my office a lot.

Sadly not flexible enough to play custard cream Jenga on my arse though...unlike you OP!

I mean flexibility isn’t necessarily an indication of being fit.

Someone can be all fit and be gym fit but not be flexible .

And vice versa …

Someone might be naturally flexible or hyper mobile but totally not fit

My upper strength is absolutely appalling and shit, which I hope keeping at pole dancing will improve without building me up any visibile muscles as I can’t stand big arms

I'd say probably about a 3!

I used to be really nimble when I rode horses and worked at a stables. Then I had an accident and didn't really have the confidence to get back on them.

I even have to sit closer forward when driving so I don't overstretch my knees otherwise they'll lock.

Am I selling myself to anyone right now?

24 going on 94

I’m about a 3 at best these days. Would have been a strong 8 in my 20s; used to be able to do box splits down to just a couple of inches above the floor and could sit between my feet and just drop back without having to stop myself.

Also, much to the revolt of a friend at the time,

I could lie face down and pull either foot up and flat to the floor, edge on, outside the same hip. It was supposed to be a submission for BJJ but I could lie there quite comfortably.

Used to be able to do box splits side splits but it’s been years since I trained properly in kickboxing. I have noticed when I start doing my yoga classes regularly after 2 or 3 hours that’s two or 3 separate classes I can do full splits again. Think once you can do them you must get muscle memory and can do them again. I might start yoga in the new year.

"I’ve always been quite flexible, I’d say about 7&1/2 to 8 at present, I can touch the floor and could suck my toes if I wished, I don’t though .. honest not tried the splits... might try that in a bit I started Pilates a few weeks back as I always feel like a good stretch and noticed improvement already "

You are not fat...

My weight to height ratio begs to differ. I carry it well I'm told "

Going by that equation...I'm obese

I’m not to bad for an oldie . I love Pilates they do the class in the dark with gentle music and just a light on the instructor and she’s got the most amazing relaxing voice

"How flexible are you from 0, being stiff as a wooden board that you just crack at the first pressure and a 10, being as flexible as a circus du soleil contortionist?

And was your flexibility useful in everyday life and what about in the bedroom?

Do you stretch regularly??

Id rate myself an 8 x I am pretty flexible particularly my lower part of the body from the waist down. Upper back, I’m not as flexible but working on it!

Im working on my splits so I can do all the best moves for pole dancing "

over 40 years of judo, so i would say a good 8

About an 8, I can stand with legs straight and touch my knees with my chin. Being bi it makes me popular

I've always been able to do the box splits. Taught myself over a period of about 5 years.
