I’ve just had a full mouth makeover. Crowns, implants - the lot!
I’m sooooo happy with my lovely new smile, but I’m still a bit sore.
Give me your best scrambled egg ideas. I add a bit of salt and pepper but that’s it, it’s getting a bit dull.
Any idea what I can add in to liven it up a bit? |

Chuck some curry powder in after you’ve beaten the eggs. |

Ever used single cream instead of milk? That’s quite a nice enhancement too.
A bit of comte cheese is ace.
Finely chopped peppers (red or yellow) also work a treat. Kinda like a deconstructed omelette. |

If you want another food idea, rice pudding. Yum"

It’s all down the quality of eggs in my opinion. I only use - non-stamped free range eggs, from local private sellers. Makes the world of difference.
You can add whatever you want, but then we’re not really discussing scrambled eggs.
I used to add double cream, but I’ve realised. All that is need is really good quality eggs and equally good quality butter (I.e., non-pasteurised from a butchers).
Don’t mix the eggs before you put them in the pan. Just heat the butter and crack the eggs into the butter, stir slowly into a fairly moist froth and serve. You’ll be left with a wonderfully fresh ‘yolky’, buttery scrambled egg.
You’re welcome. |

Cream, not milk, more salt and milled black pepper than most people think is enough, a little knob of butter and some freshly grated parmesan
Soups are fab for a soft diet, and so quick and simple to make an astonishingly tasty one |

Hmmm I was thinking of buying some farm eggs and now I’m convinced. Will get some tomorrow |

It's the eggs that make the difference. Buy them from a local stall at the side of the road, or better still, get them from your own chickens. The hens will have been fed a bigger variety of food than any 'free range' farm chicken ever gets.
Add cream right at the end, while you're stirring the eggs off the heat.
I had four crowns done at once, a long time ago. "Bring a CD and headphones" the dentist said. I did. It helped a bit. But I've never, ever been able to listen to that music again. |

I’ve had 20 crowns and 5 implants. I’m still having nightmares! I’m not particularly bothered by the dentist normally but omg, that was an ordeal! |

Salt, black pepper, paprika and cheese. No milk, just mix the eggs and add the ingredients to a frying pan with a touch of butter and whisk it in the pan.

A drop of water instead of milk makes them softer, cook slowly in plenty of butter, don't be shy with the salt and pepper! Don't stir like crazy either, go slow and steady.
For a real treat add smoked salmon trimmings and fresh chives to the beaten eggs before cooking and serve on toasted scotch pancakes or potato cakes. This is divine! |

Make some ham and egg muffins, really easy and can put whatever veg you want in. Recipe from my book…. Ham (or bacon lardons) peeled vine tomato, some mushrooms, bit of leek or onion, fry together until tender, spoon an amount into the base of a well greased muffin tin, depending on how many you want to make.. 1 muffin mould takes about 1 egg, say 6 eggs, crack, add some salt & pepper, and smoked paprika, crushed garlic if you like, and beat…. Pour into each muffin mould, then bake gas 6 for 20- 25 mins or til golden brown. Best to remove from tin when still hot or they will stick.
Can be eaten hot or cold |

Sometimes we just have to accept that not everyone knows the power of brown sauce
Which is good as it means during the brexit famines
There will always be plenty of HP on the shelves for the chosen few like us....

For indulgent scrambled eggs, I use butter (little drop of olive oil to stop it burning), eggs, salt and double cream whisked together. No pepper. Try it. |

Glad your mouth is healed. I’ve got 9 removals to look forward too, there’s only 4 full teeth going the rest are all broken crowns. So I’ll be starting the soup & soft food diet soon. I can’t say I’m looking forward to it will be glad to get rid of the constant pain though |

I had 5 teeth out, all failed root canals and implants put in. I must say, having no toothache for the first time in a long time is heaven! You’ll enjoy it! |

Never add milk, cream or water as that ruins consistency. Season with salt and pepper and just add more butter (also cook it low and slow in butter). Finish with a sprinkle of smoked salt.
