Distance for meets

I'm someone who's happy to travel to anywhere for meets as I have plenty of spare time due to working for myself.
But what is the furthest distance before it becomes creepy to go for a meet. Like would going from London to Newcastle for sex be seen as weird and desperate? |

Creepy or desperate does not come to mind.
I have a rough limit in my head because I prefer convenient meets and the option of a repeat if it's good.
But it really depends on the chemistry and how certain I am that we will be attracted to each other. If there's any doubt then distance just adds to the pressure and that's not fun. |

It’s personal. I’d never go further than about 45 mins.
Now if I’m visiting my friends or family, a meet along the way, or maybe within 30 minute of then. That seems ok
But I just don’t see the point travelling too far |

I went to America to meet someone once. We'd been chatting for several years and I was visiting the US for work so took a detour.
In answer to the OP there are people I've chatted to for a long time, where I'd happily travel the length of the country just to have a cuppa and a natter with them because I'm travelling to spend time with a friend.
If it's a random FAF type of meet then travelling any further than half an hour does smack slightly of desperation to me. I live in a densely populated area, there's no need for me to travel any further just to meet up with a random for a one-off. |

In the past I’ve had fwbs who live a few hours away. When/if u I meet again my travelling distance will be little as I’ll want to be close to home for emergencies |

It was very much a case I was due in France on an unrelated trip, and I managed to blag flying to Milan the day before, hotel and then train to France as being cheaper..(which, genuinely, it nearly was) - reality was meeting with someone I have known virtually for 6-8 months, and it was great, we went to the Gucci store and ate gelato and had a cool date weekend. Never seen her since (still talk). |

If I had no commitments and money allowed me to travel then there's no distance I wouldn't go but that's only if I really clicked with the person and felt they were worth it. I do like an adventure.
I wouldn't travel far for a quick one off fuck. But I wouldn't want anyone local so I'd go out of town, maybe two hours at most. |

If the travel time times up more of my free time than the meet then no chance. I prefer a 30 minute local travel. I’m looking for more than just a random one off meet though so that changes it for me. Personally, having had a few messages from guys 2-300+ miles away my first thought is they are fake time wasters or if they would in fact travel that far then they are really desperate to get their Willy wet. |

I don’t really travel out of my immediate area for meets. I do make this clear in my profile though. When people contact me who live MILES away, I don’t respond - driving 2 + hours for sex is slightly excessive and borderline desperate IMO. |

I'm more than happy to drive hundreds of miles to drop in on friends, regardless of any promise of sex or not. In fact I'll go further for a friend in need, just to listen with sympathy and give a hug, than I would for sex with strangers. |

I went from Wiltshire to Brighton (3hrs away) to meet a girl once for the first time. Had a travel lodge pre booked, had one drink went back to the room and fucked her all night!  |

It's not creepy or weird if you've chatted to them and like them.
I've been chatting to someone for a while and we were getting on really well, so I travelled 3 hours for a social day out with her.
It was a brilliant day and I'd happily do it again. |

I’ve had a guy visit me from England before. We’d established a really good rapport through messaging beforehand though. He came up for one night and it was a lot of fun! |

England to Scotland is just a 1 hour flight. Easy-peasy, did it last month for a whole weekend, I'll do it again this month. Good opportunity to visit Scotland, too  |

In the past, when I was single I've travelled a good couple of hours to meet. We'd chatted for ages beforehand though.
I wouldnt go too far now, I'm not meeting at min, but when I do, it's always a social first and I wouldn't let anyone travel too far to me,for what might only be a drink. |

I'm used to travelling so it doesn't occur to me, but now you've said it I guess it could make folk uncomfortable. I always assume I'll be getting a hotel I love going to places I've not been even if there's fuck all there, because there's always something there! If someone is worth travelling for then they're worth it, sex or just a coffee. |

Travelling from London to Newcastle to meet someone you’ve grown fond of and would like to spend time with isn’t creepy. Just for sex? Maybe a bit weird.
I complain about travelling within my own town for a social, imagine if I have to look up a postcode in my satnav? |

In my experience convenience is rarely the same thing as good.
I don’t put a limit on distance that I would travel, I’ve driven 300 miles for coffee before now and would do the same for the right person. |

I would say that seeing how many people seem to be local on fab, if you can't get it within your own immediate area then maybe you're setting your barrier too high....unless you've met them before, they've had to move home and want to meet you again of course  |

We tend to keep it local within a 40 minute drive however we are planning a trip to Scotland which will including a fab meet.
Wouldn’t mind combining a road trip/weekend break with a meet. That way it’s not a total lost if it falls through
