The older I get the more challenges and drama I deal with and overcome, thats the same for us all.

Do you feel stronger for dealing with things you have, or feel weaker because each one takes a little piece of you away..?

Wow good question! I think I’m going to go with stronger because I really try to remain positive but it is a tough question x

With anything that I come up against, whether it's a win or a lose. I only take in things that can make me stronger, everything else is disregarded

A mixture. But as I get older I feel more vulnerable. I’m more wary of people. Less willing to take risks. It’s exhausting having to be strong all the time. Takes it out of you.

Positivity is the key to our strength and motivation

Wiser and stronger in my core but I’ve lost pieces of me along the way.

It’s not always a case that what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger!

I've lost so much of me recently with various things and in all honesty, I don't feel it has made me stronger. I guess my strength will come when the enormity of everything hits x

Christ that’s a tough one.. stronger in my decisions. Weaker in general though. Things hit a lot harder as I get older.

I'm strong because I'm strong, not because I've had some epic bellends in my life. I'm smarter as I get older so can nip things in the bud quicker. But the energy to deal with crap is lower.

That is a great question to ask. Think I would say stronger purely because in most cases I have seen it before or have the mentality to just get on with it. When I was younger sometimes felt overwhelmed.

My divorce made me a lot stronger. When you live with another person at times you don’t realise what your strengths really are, if suddenly things change immediately.

So when this happened to me and I had to deal with everything from new home, job, finances and the day to day minor hassles that we all deal with. But in this case now alone.

Whatever doesn’t break you makes you.

Stronger, more resilient, and with more experience and knowledge...the dark moments in life can teach you a lot if you pay attention to the lesson.

I think every thing I deal with pushes me further away from wanting to do any of it anymore. A house with a big freezer and a ready supply of wood somewhere like Iceland where I have to deal with nothing else ever again but the weather beckons.

Stronger 100%... Learned so much about myself and have much healthier, progressive ways to deal with my shit these days.

Probably weaker as the energy required to overcome seems greater each time - ultimately I think I'm heading towards being a hermit

After a life changing health scare and almost loosing my mom, the last two years have made me much stronger. I’m also less tolerant of rude, inconsiderate, egotistical people.

I am definitely stronger now as I know my own mind a lot more than I used to and the direction I want to go with life. Challenges are just an invitation to find a solution

This is a question that I've been giving a lot of thought lately and tbh if somebody asked me 2yrs ago I'd have said unquestionably stronger.

I hesitate to say this as I don't know about you but I can smell a "please look at me" thread a mile away...

I became a type 1 diabetic aged 20, shortly after I survived a stage 4 cancer where doctors only gave me 6 months. This was the beggining of a list of medical drama that would be way too long to list but include 3 threatened leg amputations, eye operations, only my closest fab friends know again my life was in danger in March of this year which has resulted in medication I will take forever.

The trauma of one divorce and one pending plus what happened with my son last year just adds to it, to give you an idea of the size of mess he left behind that I've had to sort out its accumulated legal fees of £42,000 so far.

There's been as many highs as lows over the years, I look walk and talk like I've not had an ill day in my life. Despite the bit of bad luck I've mentioned I'm the most positive guy my friends know, that said I wonder in times of weakness am I really as strong as people think...

I am stronger, my reactions are calmer and measured during the crisis moment.

I reach out for help now rather than bottle it up, I have a partner who is my rock, he is sensible and balanced with his advice which helps me process the problem in my mind of what I can do and what I should do.

I have grown wiser, I am kinder to myself, I understand how my mind responds to stress and know the measures to put in place to look out for myself to enable me to be strong for others.

Mentally way stronger , absolutely ,with everything that has happened or gone on in my life but it has come with a price as while l have become mentally stronger to deal with things my own personal confidence, self esteem & self worth in meeting other people has suffered .

Stronger than I've ever been. The pieces I lost were meant to be lost to make room for better things or I gave them away willingly because someone else needed something to help them in life.

ThunderBotty, you are one of the strongest people I know. And also the nicest.

You're life reads like a catalogue of catastrophes most of us can only hope will never happen to us. You didn't deserve any of that shit - who ever does? - but you've come through it, without resorting to a negative outlook on life.

You ARE stronger. You're a fighter & a survivor & a bloody wonderful human x

I know you’ve been through an awful lot Thunderace but you sure as hell came through it stronger.

I’m fairly strong in character, not much gets past me and if it does it’s not there for longer. I always come out more positive

Stronger in many ways, this comes at a cost in some ways because you need to harden yourself to deal with certain things.

A bit of both and can depend on my outlook at the time.

Right now I’m so exhausted that things play on me more but I’m also pretty determined so don’t let people take the piss anymore.

You DC helped me so much with what I went through with my son and I can never thank you enough, can you believe it was 2yrs September just gone since I asked for advice regarding his addictions?

I recounted an event that involved you in a thread I posted a couple of weeks ago, I wonder if you remember it...search for my thread called "Believe it or not..?"
