Just read the thread about Her Majesty the queen not attending the cenotaph.
I really respect her majesty..but…
Each year I see Edward Earl of Wessex, sporting military uniform and covered in medals and adornments!
My blood boils off the scale
He couldn’t complete basic training, his mummy got him out!!
I’m ok with that
But… to then have the audacity to attend a day for veterans sporting his regalia!!!!
Yes pay his respects but he hasn’t earned the right to wear uniform and medals! |

Well if Daniel Craig can be an Honorary Royal Navy Commander, I suppose Edward can play dress up.
Princess Anne also hold several high level military ranks, but never served. |

Edward is the only male child of the Queen and Prince Philip to lack the Duke title. ... According to The Telegraph, he was set to be Duke of Cambridge, but declined because of a character named Lord Wessex in one of his favourite films, Shakespeare in Love.

I met Princess Ann very briefly and spoke to military officers who knew her quite well. An imposing lady. She takes her duties very seriously and when she inspects the troops she is very strict. |
