Developed a fairly recent obsession with houseplants. Currently gave around 75 in my livingroom. Any other green fingered fabbers in here? If so, what's you're favorite? |

I am quite enamoured with a mimosa pudica (shame plant) when it's touched or breathed on it folds its leaves away, it's quite fun

I am currently nursing no two Mandeville and one Sundeville vines which have been outdoors all summer but they don’t like cold brrrrr
I lifted and potted them into big pots which I sat on a gravel bed in bigger pots. Hopefully they will survive! |

They look almost like a flowering fern, which is great as I have quite a few fern around the house. It'll fit in well, thanks |

Coconut palm? I've just reported mine today, wasn't doing well but from the little I know, they're very hard to keep due to humidity etc |

My bonsai is possibly my favourite but, I've never trimmed it so, its more of a tree than a "bonsai" tree. Probably about 5 foot tall now |

I love a houseplant but my house doesn't get enough sunlight through windows for them to be healthy.
I like poinsettia and Christmas cactus in winter.
I have some orchids (phalaenopsis?) gifted to me at the moment. The big one is blue that I think may he dyed blue.
It's just about surviving by my kitchen window.
I love plants in general. |

I have one named Colin! He lives between Bill and Ben (banana plants). So far I've managed to keep him alive but I'm not sure how long I'll manage it. |

Pothos and fern are what I use in low light areas. My partner has pothis and ivy in her bathroom and it doesn't even have a window haha |

I have two, one called Arfur because he cost 50p (half a pound) in the sale at Morrisons  and another called Tim

Half of mine came from morrisons. I go on a Sunday to get the roast ingredients and come back with a handful of £2 plants haha |

Peace lilies and spider plants have stood the test of time in my house, we have an arrangement that seems to work. I love ferns but just cannot keep them alive. I have tried various other things but I will invariably kill them off. Ooh although I have a chinese money plant that is getting bigger, nearly forgot that one. Im better at outdoor gardening in general. |

Ferns do better in low light, and mist them pretty regularly as the do tend to dry out indoors.
Its only been this year I started. I used to have 2 indoor plants and 3 outdoor. I'll have around 400 in total now |

Outside, not inside, but I have surprised myself as I am more a slash and burn kind of gardener. Some tubs and baskets but more ornamental trees, cracking pair of olives. |

They need very little water. I gave a few in the dashboard of my van that haven't been watered in months and a few in my summerhouse that's only been watered probably twice all year. If anything you may have over watered unfortunately |

I have a few with varying degrees of success. My Spider plants are always sprogging and I'm OK with some kind of succulent my Dad gave me years ago. I have reasonable success with lemon geranium and spotted begonia but I have killed 2 x elephants ear and a couple of others seem to be dying off now it's cold. I managed OK with a Bizzy Lizzy but it was touch and go for a while. Also OK is a funky green and pink leaved one.

Love them, had about 20 but they’ve been sent to adoptive homes after I had to vacate my last abode into somewhere that didn’t have space for them. So friends and family are taking care of them  |

I’m desperately trying to keep an orchid plant alive that I had two mothering Sunday’s ago. Not sure I’m doing a good job. I cut it back and now it’s just leaves with no stem to flower.
Still. The leaves are green, albeit slightly dehydrated looking, so it is alive.

They're difficult indeed. Dont over water the roots rot, i use a squirty bottle on it and just give them a blast every few days. Also a led growlamp helps, i have one clipped onto each plant they come on at 6am for 9h. theyre timed and £12 off ebay and have blue and red led's, the blue is absorbed by chlorophyll and converted into energy through photosynthesis so promotes growth, red light leads to stronger growth with more leaves during vegging and far better fruit and bloom production during flowering. Not only do you get higher yields, but also higher quality yields

Ive got a prickley cactus that I got given back in 2016… it grew quite a lot…it was a cluster of 3 but the other 2 died and now there’s just this huge dick shaped cactus that is probably 20” tall started as 12” x |

I have a few dotted round each room.
Orchids always do well for me and I have 10 of those. I have a rather large phallic cactus that gets a lot of comments. But my favourite is probably my Citriodorum (lemon plant) I waft it around soft furnishings and it will scent the room a most gorgeous refreshing lemon scent. |

Mimosa pudica was 1 of my earliest plants I grew from seed, when I was 12 or 13. Great fun
I don't have many houseplants, though have Bougainvilleas indoors, as I love them. I'm bringing a beautiful Canna inside this week, as its flowers are just opening and it's payback time. I tend to have tropical plants in, such as 1 of my lemon trees. |

I think that's where I'm going wrong, I read they like moisr soil... ill tone down the watering... thanks.
I have multiple grow lights but I'm sceptical on how big a difference they actually make |

I haven’t got quite that many but I do have houseplants in every room.
The oldest surviving is my Aloe Vera that was given to me about 15 years ago from a cutting.
I recently adopted two spider plant babies from the local library. They’re absolutely thriving and keeping the sansevieria in the bedroom company. |

No worrys, i made the same mistake for years. They get root rot very quick. Grow lamps make all the difference but they need 12h of darkness too so dont over do them. Make sure they arnt 'uv'type they burn the plant. Good luck |
