Every time a breaking news notification pops up on my phone I have a little panic. Shes done so well to get this far and to loose her husband during a global pandemic too. I get the feeling we aren't being told the whole truth about her by the media. I really hope she will be back in good health soon though. |

"What truth"
I don't know. I do know that when any leader is ill the full extent of it is concealed. When BJ had COVID it was played down and Prince Philip's final illness was kept private. It's widely believed that leaders can't show signs of weakness because it has a bad effect on the wider population |

"She's 95 and they're concealing the truth of the situation.
What truth pm me "
I don't know the truth. If I did it wouldn't be concealed.
As much as I'd like to I'm not privy to inside information on the monarchs health |

"One less hypocrite. It's all a pile of balls
You're not a fan then?"
Watching the parade wondering if lgbtq servicemen and women's lives are less important than others.
The only people with any dignity in this farce are the war widows association who refuse to lay wreaths on Sunday as originally they were not permitted as women to lay wreaths because they were women |

The monarchy was well represented and she will have been able to pay her respects privately.
It's less and less about her nowadays and more about the next monarch and the one after him.
I can't think of any other recently widowed 95 year old, just discharged from hospital who who would even expect to attend a Remembrance Day parade. |

I agree but then again she is no ordinary 95 year old widow |

Winston said exactly the same.
It's his first Remembrance service without his father.

The rules on who can join the parade have actually changed this year to include lbgtq veterans, a small step but an important one. |

She's been through so much, at her age and in the public eye. A lot of people would have gone to pieces, but she has to put a brave face on it when she's seen. I hope she'll be ok. Regardless of what anyone thinks of them as the Royal Family, behind the label, they're people like the rest of us. We should remember that. |

How utterly disrespectful and a horrible thing to say.
She never asked to be born a royal she just was and has done a fantastic job.
Obviously just like a lot of people born into money and power they can be pompous assholes but hey can we all be.
Our royal family is one of the few remaining things that gives our country it's identity.
Loose this and we are just a bland poorer extension of the USA full of YouTube wannabes.
Long live the Queen. |

Is there such a thing?
I have enormous respect for the job the queen has done and her public devotion to duty but there are 95 year old widows all over the country carrying on in the face of their grief. |

Genuinely thinking more is going on than they’re letting on
I don’t like the whole concept of the royal family but I don’t dislike the Queen, loved Prince Phillip though and Princess Anne is great
Can’t stand Charles though
Noticed the other day she was cleared to travel to Sandringham where George V & George VI passed away... |

The Queen going to Sandringham for December/January is usual practice, she does it every year (last year being the exception) |

True... but I’m suspicious
I don’t understand why they haven’t denied the rumours yet |

It’s rare they do. They might be in the public eye but even they are entitled to some privacy and deal with whatever may be wrong with her in private. |

Because we are subject to them, not the other way round. They are extremely unlikely to make any mention of the Queen's health unless it's absolutely vital when it comes down to it we will only be allowed to know what they want us to. It's important not to confuse the public face of the monarch with the private woman. |
