with laughter and sadness

planes, trains & automobiles, Elf and Home alone makes me pee myself laughing

Dirty Dancing, Ghost and E.T turns me into a wet lettuce somewhat and no matter how many times I watch them, I still sob!

What are yours?

Rarely watch films but I can remember shedding tears at 'Ghost' and 'Sixth Sense'. I know I laughed watching the 'Home Alone' films with my little one. I'm more likely to cry whilst reading a book to be honest.

I'm a sucker for Christmas films and The Santa Clause 1 & 2 (3 is a bit crap tbh) always get me howling away.

As for crying, only one film has ever made me cry (but I was 9 at the time) and that's Lassie Come Home, when he has dragged himself across hundreds of miles, is torn and tattered, bloody and beaten and he hobbles to the oak tree to wait for Richard O'Sullivan to come out of school. Man, that gets me still.
