Tin town

I just read this on the BBC... Thought it may be of interest... I have no idea how accurate any of them may be.. As accurate as BBC infotainment usually is I guess...

I'm intrigued that loving without a car is the same as buying an electric car. The implication being electric car has no co2 footprint...

Based on research by the University of Leeds, here's how many tonnes of C02 per year each of the actions mentioned would save for an average person.

Live without a car - 2.0

Buy an electric car - 2.0

Cut out one long-haul flight - 1.9

Switch to renewable energy - 1.6

Renovate your home - 0.9

Start a meat-free diet - vegan: 0.9, vegetarian: 0.5

Use public transport as often as possible - 0.6

Don't get any new pets - 0.3

Recycle - 0.1

It’s worse they car may not put out anything

But make the battery dose

Cobalt mineing

Nickel mineing

And worst off all

Lithium mineing

Can’t talk me poring 500 gals off toxic water in to the ether is invarmetal friendly

Yes that’s right to get lithium you poor and electricfine water on salty cristils like bonneville salt flats

And let it sit and a layer off lithium will forum on top off the toxic water witch is them scrape off to make lithium all while that toxic water is being soked up by the earth

Electric cars are the biggest con on eather
