"Can we still use the biometric passport readers at airports in the EU?
My memory is a little faded but I seem to remember the readers only ever being in the EU lanes. "
Used it at Luton on Tuesday. Flying back tomorrow so I’ll let you know if you’re not going before tomorrow night. |

"I know you probably know already but don’t forget your mask. It’s compulsory all over the airport and the plane. It’s not a choice. "
Thanks for the heads up.
I've had an email every other day for the last week reminding me that I need a surgical mask for travel and passenger locator forms. Travel has changed |

Believe me it’s a proper faff! Make sure you have everything! Passenger locator forms. The nhs app with proof of both jabs. They’re pretty strict with it all. And have your PCR test booked for 2 days after you arrive back as they want the reference number of it on your passenger locator form to come home x |

It has been rather stressful getting everything arranged, it just wasn't that clear. The passenger locator form was a nightmare on the address format and not being able to submit until 48hrs before arriving just added to it. The day 2 test is booked and I have started the UK locator form to try and remove some of the steps while I'm out the country. |

It really isn’t clear at all! Luckily I had someone who had been the week before to help me. I left it purposely till after 31st Oct as I thought it was supposed to be pretty much back to normal! |
