And I suddenly thought why are there so many different cleaners on the market

A microwave is stainless steel so why a special microwave cleaner.

Barry Scott said we just needed Cillit Bang, now there are variants of that !

Just mix 3 tablespoons of baking soda, water 2 squeezed lemons and a dash of white vinagar.

Best oven & microwave cleaner going. Its cheap and wont 'contaminate' food

Money and profit. That's all it is!

You can make your own cleaning solution with white vinegar and water.

Hypes/trends/'influencers' play into this too.

Pour boiling water in a pot and put it in the microwave for a few mins. The steam cleans it then wipe clean, voila!

This every time. As cheap as the chips I’m heating in it.

The best way to clean a microwave without taking away the paint or scratching.

If you do this with your oven and leave it on for 30 mind with the water in it it loosens the gunk allowing it to be wiped away easier. Just watch you don't burn yourself as you need to do it while the oven is still hot
