Why do some people feel the need to advertise that they plan to leave the site in the near future?
Is it just to draw attention to their profile? Is it a threat? Is it for sympathy?
If this site is not what they are looking for why don't they just fuck off?
Next question.
Why are most of these people still on here weeks and months later?

Well being as we're doing that very thing right now I guess I'm in a good position to answer!
We're leaving because we fancy a break and we think we've probably got what we wanted from Fab. We've met a few people and obviously we have their contact details and will keep in touch.
But there are a few on our friends list we haven't yet met and so rather than just 'fucking off' we've put up a status to let people know and then any that would like to stay in touch can.
A more pertinent question would be why do so many people spend so much energy analysing how other people do or don't use the site? Although maybe that's an oxymoron. |
