The skirt is a silly shape. I should have cut the seams open but no, I thought I could do it just by turning the hem up. Wrong! |

On this day 1987 Mark Hughes played for Wales and Bayern Munich in two different countries on the same day. He appeared for Wales in a 2-0 loss to Czechoslovakia in Prague, then flew to Munich for a 3-2 win over Borussia Dortmund. |

Okay. I would have assumed everywhere had been incorporated by parliament by definition of parliament being created. |

Parliament didn't have much power back in those days. Divine rights of kings and whatnot. The King at the time of Plymouth coming into existence was Henry VI who was seen as a very weak monarch. Just to rub it in, after Plymouth was incorporated by Act of Parliament, a Royal charter was eventually granted the next year! There'd been petitions to grant a Charter for what became Plymouth for years prior but the kings at the time refused...... |
